Gd morning jessica, I just was sleeved on dec 4th and went from 264 to 239. The 115 lb weight loss was a lady sitting in my surgeons office talking and she had a lap band done 11months ago.

Out the drs office with all but 3staples removed. Talking about the smoothest surgeon ever damn I cant believe it! No pain and the larger incision has to keep the 3staples for 3more days.

Heyyyy sleevers, I feel good today. Currently at the surgeons office for follow up n prayerfully staple removal. I never filled my pain med prescription so hopefully the staple removal causes me no pain:-\ . Sitting in the office has been a support forum n good n bad convo. One says she couldnt bare the liquids after a week n ate chicken=-O , now u want to complain. The other lost 115 lbs on 11months.

Good evening sleevers, I am still on my post op 2week liquid diet and I must say im not hungry but im definitely tired of drinking. I was nervous to get on the scale but today I did and my starting weight was 264,day of surgery 258, and todays weight is 242. God is in control and seeing me through,i go tomorrow for my 2wk follow up:-)

I must admit that it feels so strange not having anything to eat since monday night 930pm until today and I dont feel a bit of hunger,headache,ache,or pain!My God is seeing me thru!!:-)

Well today is 12/8 and I feel good, up this morning ready to shower and start the day but that came to a hault when I realized I could not reach to take down the shower head. I was told I am able to shower but I can not get the incisions wet. I took my dressings off yesterday so my wound areas could get air:-) my wounds are scabbing up which is great. Im having no problem with getting my fluids in and my protein is my priority. By the way I hv not filled my pain med prescription thats how well things are going for me so far. I will continue to speak great recovery into existence for all of us.

Hey Mand, I will not say I hv pain, I feel uncomfortable in the stomach area. I hv alot of gas that travels between the stomache n the back. Try standing in the mirror n sucking in your stomache for a couple minutes n thats how tight my stomache feels. Other than that im ok:-) God is awesome

Heyyy sleevers, im home now, climbed into more comfy pjs n climbed into my bed. I hv a bottle of regular water n crystal light next to me. After a little rest, planning to make sugar free jello and some broth for dinner. This new journey is beginning and its going well so far, thanks for all prayers n please continue to pray.

Sooooo today is 12/6 I feel good(not great) still a little gassy but im walking talking breathing well. Not getting many liquids in, im feeling full after a couple dops n spoonfuls. Its ok dr n nurses said dont force it. Waiting to speak with bariatric nurse n then my hubby is picking me up:-) talk to you all soon

In the ingredients it say whey protein n whey protein isloate combined but on the front of the jar it says super advance whey protein. can I use it ?

Hey deeriggs, I had my last visit to the surgeon today n left with my pre n post op diet. Im all smiles, ready for my new journey. My family( hubby n 2 sons) are going shopping for all items n foods needed. Please continue to pray for me as I will do the same for you n everyone else going thru this journey.

Thanks deeriggs, where are u from, I'm from nj. I see my surgeon tomorrow hopefully he will tell me how long I will be out of work, I fell like I don't want to go bk n have to deal with the negativity or the tension of sitting in the office under my boss everyday.

Hey December sleevers!!! My date is almost here (dec 4th) nervous and excited at the same time. Please pray for me,Friday is my last day of work n this work week has been a week from hell. My boss has finally come to realize I'm going to have my surgery n she has not spoken to me all week.(can you say tense in the office) my co worker beat me down,kicked me and stepped on me when she told me that I messed up her vacation n me having surgery is not an accomplishment:( talking about a low blow! GUESS WHAT!IM READY FOR MY NEW JOURNEY N NEXT A NEW WORK ATMOSPHERE! My new journey does not include non supporters or haters, take a walk in my shoes then try judging.

I have no vaca time, im going to go out on disability and if I hv drs appt within weeks after surgery I definitely dont want to go bk to work in a week or two because then my boss will give me hell about the time n ill hv no vaca or sick time left to use

Ok gamer so who decides the time, patient or surgeon? I work in a nursing home, prone to infection n my work load requires lifting at times

Wowwww the few friends I hv that has had the sleeve told me to expect to take 4to 6 weeks.my surgeon has not told me anything yet I see him on 11/29. Now im nervous because I told my boss n hr director that I would be out for that amount of time without speaking with my surgeon first:-( listening to other people.can someone advise me of what to do or expect now

As im reading u guys postings, I noticed that some of you are returning to work 1and2weeks after surgery. Is that possible and is it your own decision or your surgeons

So dec sleevers fill me in on what u guys have been thru so far. I hv been cleared by all doctors n nutritionist, insurance approval, pre admission testing, now I'm waiting to call surgeons office on Monday to see what's next.
