8 month Post Op Photo Shoot
Dreamingofhealth replied to bigcountryab's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow! You have done so fantastic!! It looks like you have new ink! Very nice! One thing. Why don't YOU approach the ladies at your gym? I'm sure they want you too but are too shy... You look phenomenal, I love the boudoir pics! It's nice to see men do them as we'll. Great Job, Sheena :-) -
Extreme stomach pains almost 6 months out..
Dreamingofhealth replied to Kellyj574's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel so bad for you! That is so scary. It reminds of similar symptoms my friend had during a gallbladder attack. Have you been checked for that? I hope you'll be okay! Sheena -
How have you prepared?

What if I die?
Dreamingofhealth replied to Mrs.FullerRN's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think about it all the time. Like, what if I'm that unlucky % that dies and leaves my babies without a mom? Then on the other hand I'm like, what kind of mom will I become if everything goes well with surgery? Ill be more active and fun and I'll be able to get down and play with them. I won't be self conscious and wondering if people are stating at me because my my size. It's a toss up. I've been struggling with my weight forever so it would be nice to not constantly think about it and to feel normal. Good luck to you! You aren't alone! Sheena -
I am pre-op as well. I haven't had diet Pepsi in over 7 weeks... It has been the toughest thing ever! I am severely addicted to it. I had headaches and dizziness for the first week, but now I feel much better. I'm also noticing that my stomach feels better and I don't have heartburn anymore! It's been tough, but for me personally I wanted to give it up because its been a struggle being obese and I want to make ANY and EVERY change possible to beat this battle once and for all. Good luck with your journey! Sheena :-)

Wow! Wow! Wow! You are truly inspirational! -
I'm having my surgery in Victoria with Dr. Malik. It sucks that I have to travel back and fourth so much, but I didn't have to wait that long. What about you? Sheena :-)

Dreamingofhealth replied to Feb252013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are adorable!!! I hope I have the same success as you. You are glowing! -
I was wondering about this as well. My hubby and I have a healthy sex life, but I physically can't do a lot of things that I would like to. I'm really hoping as the weight comes off it will be easier to do different positions and not get tired so quick! Thanks ladies for posting this. It's making me even more excited to get sleeved and start that part of my life. Sheena :-)

I havent been sleeved yet :-( I'm working towards the end of August. I started juicing because I don't always have time to sit and eat a huge salad, but I do have time to take a juice with me. And I get more variety of veggies in my diet by juicing.
-
That's good to know!
-
I am pre-op but I have been juicing for about three weeks. I will do 2-3 a day. For instance I will have a juice for Breakfast 8am then at 10am I'll have a boiled egg or two. Then at 12:30 I'll have another juice and at 2:30 I'll have some cheese or something. Then a lean dinner. If Im craving something sweet in the evening I'll make a fruitier juice! Apple beet detox (my fave!) 1 Granny Smith apple 1 orange 1/2 lemon Handful parsley Green juice 2 carrots 1 cucumber 3 celery stalk 1 lemon 1 Granny Smith apple Carrot ginger 1 apple 5 carrots 1" ginger 3 huge handfuls spinach 1/2 lemon 'Slimming drink' 2 oranges 1/2 lemon 1 beet 3 handfuls spinach 3 celery 1" ginger Mean green 1 cucumber 1 bunch kale leaves 4 celery 1/2 lemon 1" ginger 2 Granny Smith apples I am going to ask my surgeon if I can add Protein powder to the fresh juices and use that as a meal instead if a RTD. I think it would be better for you. We will see! Enjoy!! Sheena :-)
