There are so so many things! 1) Learn how to run-do some sort of marathon. 2) Go skiing! 3) Shop for sexy lingerie/clothes 4) try pole dancing 5) fit on every ride at the amusement park! 6) Not be scared to try things because I won't fit, don't have the mobility, can't keep up! 7) Live my life and be a great remodel for my kids (6&3) Plus so much more! Sheena :-)

Yes! I am 283# and get a brazillian every 5 weeks! My Esthetician is super professional and does an amazing job! So worth it. If you go to a skilled person you won't have any problems, they will show you where to put your hands to "help" and before you know it you are smooth as a baby! Haha ha I really recommend you give it a try! Sheena :-)

Where are the November Sleevers?
Dreamingofhealth replied to ToccoraVSG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Angierue, my pre-op tests included: breathing tests, EKG, 6 different sets of lab work, barium swallow, sleep apnea study, chest X-rays, a whole other round of labs done by his Endocrinologist, and 2 one hour visits with his dietician. Also a full physical with my GP. So happy to be done all that and in 8 days will be starting my 4 week liquid diet! Sheena :-) -
Where are the November Sleevers?
Dreamingofhealth replied to ToccoraVSG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am excited for all of my fellow November sleevers! Where are you from and what kind of pre-op diet has your surgeon put you on? I'm from Kelowna BC, Canada. My diet seems a little extreme to me but here it is: ~ 4-6 boost diabetic ~ Water, water and more water ~ flavored water as long as there are no calories (ie. Crystal light) I'll be doing this for FOUR weeks starting October 30th until surgery. I'm a little sad that I won't be celebrating my 30th birthday in Vegas (November 8th), but I am having friends over this weekend and we will have a good time! I have been waiting a long time for this and um so happy this next chapter of my life will be starting soon! Sheena :-) -

2 Years and 110 Pounds Later
Dreamingofhealth replied to Micah87's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That is so awesome! I can't wait to be where you are and be comfortable in my own skin! I feel sometimes like my thoughts are consumed with my weight, and how I look, and I how I feel and how I can't do certain things. I am really hoping that goes away and I can start focusing my thought energy elsewhere! I bet that sounds strange haha Anyway, congrats on the new you! Very motivational :-) Sheena -

Thank you for posting your pictures! It's nice to see a mom with small kids as well, making the decision of a lifetime to be here longer and healthier for her kids! You look amazing and seem so happy! Thank you for the motivation! What are some of the things you enjoy doing now that you couldn't do being 110 pounds heavier? Sheena :-) -
My Life-Changing Story
Dreamingofhealth replied to elivaynstein's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thank you to Eli for the original post! Your story is changing the life of someone! How cool is that? This forum is so wonderful for all the information and motivation it provides. Thank you to everyone who posts on here.I have been waiting for 2 years for my date and I FINALLY have one!! November 26th! Reido2011, I feel the same as you! I have never been slim and it's scary. When I was talking to my doctor about a goal weight, I was like 180-190? And she literally laughed at me. She said think more 150-160, to me that seems so small. But then again I won't know until I get there! Good luck everyone! Sheena :-) -
2 week pre op diet starts today
Dreamingofhealth replied to cjenkins74's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am so jealous! I'm starting my Pre-Op diet in 10 days and it consists of: -4-6 Boost Diabetic -Water -Flavored Water as long as it's no calorie. That's it for FOUR weeks! I'm beginning to think my surgeon is trying to torture me lol I am actually going to email my team and ask of I can have homemade chicken stock without salt to cut all the sweet through out the day. Or maybe even juicing vegetables too, as long as I stay under the 1200 calorie a day target. We will see! Good luck guys! You can do it!! Sheena :-) -
I have been waiting for my date for over a year! November 26th! Yay!
Dreamingofhealth posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, I've been waiting forever it seems and finally I have my date. It has been a long road of medical tests and various hoops I've had to jump through. Not to mention traveling 7 hours(one way) 3 times in the past year hoping that trip was the one where I would get my date. I sent an email to my team asking where I was in the process and that day I received my date! I am excited and nervous all in one. I keep fantasizing about my surgery and the process at the hospital. And how it will be to come home and start what is going to be my new life. I really really want to succeed and be a strong influence on my two amazing kids (6 & 3). I want to be the one who not only 'tells' them how to be healthy but I want to SHOW them. I can't wait to be able to run around WITH my kids and not sit on the sidelines anymore. I want to take an active roll in my own life and try all the things I've wanted to do for so long but my weight has held me back. Like hiking and canoeing and possibly running a 5K! It's endless and I really hope having this surgery allows me to have way more experiences! To those who have read my little speel, how we're things at home after surgery? Any tension between you and your spouse? How have your kids adapted? Any information you could give me from right out of surgery would be great! Thank you so much!!! A very excited lady, Sheena :-) -

I have the BIG BOSS juicer. You can get them in Canada for less then $70 At Walmart. It works great. Juicers are a pain to clean sometimes but it's worth it!! There are so many yummy yummy recipes. I also have the Nutribullet as well. And I use that when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to juice. (I'm pre-op) Sheena

You are beautiful! Very inspirational to me! You look like the daughter of your former self!!! What a huge difference. Sheena -
This is a great thread!! I am currently reading 'the Weight-Loss Prescription' by Ali Zentner. The reason why I'm reading it is because it doesn't tell you how to lose weight. It sheds some light on WHY you eat the way you do. It shows the different groups of 'eaters' from the emotional to the all or nothing dieter. And it helps you recognize the habits and emotions that go along with it so you can begin to change. I'm hoping it will help with my surgery so I can be a long term success. I want to learn as much as I can as to why I ended up almost 300 pounds so I don't EVER get here again! Sheena
