Burning in stomach-help appreciated!
Dreamingofhealth posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey guys! I hope someone can help... I have been having a burning sensation in my stomach for about 6 days. It comes in waves you could say, it's a cross between an empty stomach hungry feeling and intense burning. I have finished my 30 day supply of Prevacid(sp?) And the burning and heartburn feeling started after that. I'm just wondering if any of you have experienced this and what I can do. I can't seem to get a hold of my surgeon at the moment. I have tried tums so far as I can only have chewables at the moment. I am 5 weeks out. Thanks for your help Sheena :-) -

I really enjoy Genepro, it mixes in to everything so nice with barely any taste. It's worth the money! -
Burning in stomach-help appreciated!
Dreamingofhealth replied to Dreamingofhealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you for your replies. I'm just hoping it's stomach acid issues and not something more serious. I did buy pepcid AC yesterday and it helped a bit but I had to take another one later in the and it says on the bottle not to exceed 2 in a 24 hour period... When really I could have probably used 2 more. It helped just for a short period of time. Hopefully I can get a hold of my surgeon today! Thank you! ! -
Anyone get acid indigestion AFTER the sleeve?
Dreamingofhealth replied to Sherry S's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was going to start a thread but seen this! I hope you guys can help. I'm 4 weeks and 4 days out from Sleeve surgery and the last 5 days I've been having a burn type feeling in my stomach. I wouldn't say it's the typical heart burn or acid reflux as its just in my stomach. It's like a cross between the feeling of a very empty stomach where you are super hungry and burning. If I eat I'm fine it's the in between meals where it's bothersome. I hope you can get an idea with my description hahaha I am going to call my surgeon in the morning, but was wondering if you think it's a type of heartburn or something more serious? I'm following all the rules prescribed by my doctor... I may not get in ALL the Vitamins every day but other than that it's all going well! So any help would be awesome! Thanks Sheena :-) -

Why don't more people use Genepro?
Dreamingofhealth replied to NewMeLinZ's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Before I ordered it online I asked my nutritionist about it and if it was okay and she gave me the green light. I ordered some and I probably won't use anything else. I like it because it doesn't have an overwhelming taste and literally mixes into everything quite well. I put in tea, sweet potatoes, Soups, yogurts, milk etc. Literally anything I need to to bump up my Protein. I purchase 2 at a time, and yes it's pricy but the way I see it is it all evens out because I'm not spending a lot on food anymore. And if it will help me make those protein goals with ease it's worth it! Good luck, Sheena :-) -

Hey! I was just wondering if any of you Sleevers out there ever juice? I am 3.5 weeks out and have been craving vegetables like crazy, and was wondering if any of you have juiced and added Protein powder to it? I find it more convenient to drink protein during work and thought this would be a good alternative to pre made shakes. Thank you Sheena :-)

Juicing low carb veggies?
Dreamingofhealth replied to Dreamingofhealth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thank you Vineeta! I emailed Carla today and she said I could juice as long as it was mostly veggies and to be careful what ones I chose based on how gassy they make me! So as long as I mix Protein powder in there I can have a juice a day! Yippeeee! How are you doing? ? Did you get a date yet my friend?? -

Vitamins just after surgery.....
Dreamingofhealth replied to Sandyryan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My multivitamin is huge so I put it in my nutirbullet and make it into powder and put it in my Greek yogurt in the morning for breakfast. And the rest are sublingual oh except my calcium which seems to chew up faster and dissolve in my mouth better :-) -

I got mine right as I was getting ready to leave for the hospital! It wasn't a big deal at all, they gave me a pad to wear with some mesh undies. They see it all the time. So no biggie! -
No not at all. I find it grows in much softer! Totally worth it for sure!

Don't feel that way! I actually got braces in August to help with my transformation! We deserve it! I had major dental surgery, removing a couple teeth and what not, but it's something I have wanted to do for years. So I thought now is the time! Good for you!!!!!! Sheena :-) -
Where are the November Sleevers?
Dreamingofhealth replied to ToccoraVSG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That's how I was last week. And honestly you just have to keep plugging away at it. The soups I could eat almost a whole cup, but wouldn't go farther than that-even though I felt I could. Since starting puree today I get full crazy fast! It's a huge change. Just stay hydrated and eat as much protein as your tummy will allow. It will get easier. Don't beat yourself up because you are doing great! My surgeon said hitting the water targets was most important followed by protein and vitamins. I'm sorry if that wasn't much help... Sheena :-) -

Dreamingofhealth replied to ToccoraVSG's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Please don't feel guilty after eating, you are doing the best you can at the moment. Just stay focused on staying hydrated and the rest will come. Are you still on full liquids? What kind of plan does your surgeon have you on? -

I'm on week 2! I am officially on purees for 2 weeks. For breakfast I had 1/2C cottage cheese blended with pepper. (I was able to finish it) Snack was 1/4C vanilla Greek yogurts Lunch was 1 can tuna blended with 1tbs pickle juice and 1tbs mayo (Had half of mixture 1/4C) Dinner is leftovers from last night. Cod with boursin cheese, tomatoes, parsley and onions on top. (I took all the onions and tomatoes off and blended it and reheated) 1/2C serving and 2 tbs apple sauce - we will see if I can finish it.
