Hey! I would personally wait until after having a baby to have a Panni done. Only because that skin is going to get stretched out again, so what's the point of having it done, only to have it re-done after you have your baby? Good luck to you either way! Sheena :-)

Awe! That's so sweet!! What a great support you have!

I had used them while on the Ideal Protein diet. They were sick. The only one that tasted less chemically was the syrup. But even then I'd rather buy the real stuff because at least it's not made up of chemicals and you body can process it naturally.

Worrying about leaving my children
Dreamingofhealth replied to Kristina J.'s topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks... Now I'm sobbing like a baby! I was wanting to do something like this for my children. And I like the idea of writing a letter as if you are still here. Great post!! Sheena :-) -
Hmmm this is a good question. I think I may be a 'food addict'. I have noticed I eat when I'm bored and I crave everything... From savory to sweet :-( Boy I'm a mess!! Haha But seriously I have a VERY VERY hard time with portion control. It takes a large meal for me to actually FEEL full. I think that's why so many 'diets' have failed. I did okay on WW, but even eating too much 'good for you food' adds up calorie wise. So yes I'm a food addict. It's tough because you need food to live... And it's not like you can stay away from it like cigarettes because you need it to survive. Sometimes I wish I didn't have this addiction because its been a battle since I was young, and I'm getting tired of fighting it sometimes. But since I looked in to WLS and found this site I'm very hopeful that I will finally conquer this and live my life! Ps I'm so excited my consultation is on Thursday.. I've been waiting a loooong time! Please cross your fingers, toes, eyes that I get a date in the next couple months! Thank you Sheena :-)

I highly doubt your back will be 'fine' after you lose the weight. It may feel a bit better, but without surgery it won't be 'fine'. Im doing okay. I'm scared to meet Dr Malik... Only because I don't want to wait 5+ more months before I get surgery (can we say impatient much?) Plus I just don't want to be traveling back and forth in the winter time. It freaks me out a bit. I'm excited for next week though! A road trip with my hubby is always a good time! I'm excited to be a tourist! Are we still on for coffee?

Shell! That is terrible! What a cow! You are doing an amazing job with the limited exercise you are able to do! 25 pounds in just over two months is excellent! Please don't let her take that from you. You are doing the best you can, and when more weight starts coming off it will be that much easier for you to do more. Keep up the great work! Sheena :-)

Has anyone taken "HYDROXYCUT" after VSG surgery?
Dreamingofhealth replied to baseballmom02's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I personally wouldn't take diet pills... Maybe you are where you are supposed to be on your weight loss journey. I've been reading that sometimes the body stops at its own ideal weight. So maybe that could be where you are! Good luck :-) -

I will totally need plastics as well. I'm still Pre-sleeve but I need to lose around 130. I carry it in my stomach area. Have you ever You Tubed a video for tummy tuck or body contouring? I watched one last night and it's INTENSE! It's scary, but I think it's sooooo worth it for sure! Sheena

I think it would be worth having to wax or shave your tummy if it meant not having that skin/fat above the lady part! Thanks for answering my question! Sheena :-)

To diet pill or not to diet pill....
Dreamingofhealth replied to NCsleever63's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would say 'NO' to diet pills. They can be dangerous sleeved or not. You have this amazing tool to use. It sounds like you go into old habits and forgot about the end goal. I would personally bring 'sleeve friendly' treat foods so you don't feel deprived while your coworkers are having cupcakes etc. Always have a little stash of something so you can join in without going off track! Good luck! :-) You have so great- amp it up and you will be at your goal in no time at all! Sheena :-) -
Hello Everyone!! I'm compiling a list of questions that I want to ask my surgeon pain our first meeting. I don't want to forget anything. So, what were questions you asked you surgeon? OR wanted to after the fact? Thanks :-) Sheena

Negative Boyfriend
Dreamingofhealth replied to Stranger 123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you need to talk to him and tell him how that comment really made you feel. If he can't have a decent conversation and own up to his feelings, and explain to you what's going on in his mind- THEN it's time to jump ship! My hubby and I have a pretty good relationship (we better after 12 years), but he made some comments to me that I felt were rude and unnecessary. I'm still Pre-sleeve. He said 'after you get all skinny and hotter, your just going to leave me for someone better'. This really pissed me off because he's basically calling me shallow, and he feels threatened. Honestly, how could I leave someone who has treated me like a princess and loved me for me UNCONDITIONALLY not even 'seeing' these 280 pounds!? So I didn't know where this came from. But after we talked he let out all his feelings, and it came down to two things. He's scared I'll have complications and he's scared he's going to lose his best friend. :-( So after the novel I just wrote, talk to him and see where he's at. You never know what he's feeling. BUT please know that you are a young beautiful woman and deserve WAY better than someone who says rude things to the one he's supposed to love no matter what. And in no way do you have to put up with that because there is a man waiting to love YOU for YOU!!! :-) Ps. That bathing suit is super cute! Sheena :-) -
Questions to ask Surgeon
Dreamingofhealth replied to Dreamingofhealth's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thanks so much for the great ideas! I'm one of those people that forget everything if I don't write it down. So I want to be prepared when I see him because it will be a while before I can ask questions again! Again thanks! Sheena :-) -
