    Do therapists work?

Yep! With the right therapist it can and does help! I've been through several therapists in the past. I must admit some of them where a waste of time. I wasn't ready for change with one, and another cried when I told my truths (trust me you don't want a therapist that empathizes so much she cries ) It takes work, in therapy of course, but also the leg work into finding the right one. I'd say don't just go and stay with the first one if it doesn't feel right.

    My brain

Like I said I'm just going off of the things I've read by you.. I don't think it's as black and white as to someone being ignorant when going into this with peace in their hearts. If you feel that this will benefit your health and you are willing to put in the work to do it, and the benefits outweigh the risks? Then by all means go for it! As for the episode in your closet..yes those can be frustrating. And for some that's all it takes to make the choice. you are very young and have a very young babies! I can see where this might be more nerve racking...
  3. Old married woman here... So can't help, but... CONGRATULATIONS!!!

    Too tight? too short?

Ah yes wearing things that fit! A weird feeling when you are used to wearing things that are loose and stretchy (and stretching them out before you put them on ) Oh! By the way, G girl you look great

    My brain

Ok.... So I read some of the threads you have started, and, well, most if them are full of doubts and fears. At least three are about dying, and several about not being ready so... My take away? My opinion? Your not ready. Plain and simple you are going into this with too many doubts. Now I'm not saying that all of us should just feel "hey no problem let me just take the leap". But I measured the risks and in my case (yes I have children I adore) it was a death sentence to stay obese (serious health problems) I really feel that in your heart of hearts you feel this is not a good move for you? I don't know... But if you go to your profile and look at all your started threads and read them again you might figure out why this might be a mistake. Going in with so many doubts, ends up in regrets most of the time.

Been sleeved for almost 2 years

Chips! I've had my run in with those this week! They are everywhere in my house right now! (Lots of teenagers hanging out here) they are tasty and I can eat without a feeling of fullness. I must gain control but also request that they not be brought in so much... I'm glad you are posting again, and following the 5:2 group. They are a great bunch of woman and provide great support Blupee, Thank you And I know lots of woman that don't want to lose their "curves" so no offense taken here.

    Almost to goal but...

Lots of good advice here... Enjoy your dress fitting and don't give into the pressure to be a certain number by a certain date! 7 months and 14 pounds until goal? Think about that statement! Think about how much you have done in ONLY 7 months! My word!

  14. I remember the first couple of times I cleaned out my closet. I took the big clothes out that didn't fit anymore, but I couldn't throw them away for months! I felt like "what if I need them again if I gain weight".

  16. My calves are still "ginormous" lol
  17. I think a lot of us go through that.... I mean how many times have I done this (lost weight) just to never quite get there or get there and immediately put the weight back on. I made a goal weight and never really even thought it was a possibility to get there. Slowly and surely I am though This is a long tough road but if you stick to it and remember this is for life which means lifelong changes you will successfully do it and keep it off.
  18. Lol! yes if you lose weight your fingers get smaller too My wedding rings are very loose now.
