I think what Sonia was trying to say is that it's going to be what it's going to be and as a post op things are looked at differently.. Oh pre op! all the possibilities! Yes you can lose 100 in a year! Or less! But you also can lose a hundred and it might take you two.. And at no fault of your own. I will be a year in a couple of weeks. I have lost nowhere near a hundred yet. I wanted too! I've tried... I'm strict and exercise and eat right! But no 100 for me so I know I shouldn't be answering here because you wanted the people that did (sorry) The polls or comparisons when you are post op can be really depressing, because so many people will do "better" than you. I try not to (but I always do) read them because I'm painfully slow.. It's funny really because at the end of the day? I didn't lose a 100 yet. But if I had to be honest and I'm not in a place of comparing and depressing myself? I look (and feel) damn good! Don't make me post pictures to prove it -

Yes men put up very large numbers fast! So women please don't compare to them **** while I'm at it don't compare to anyone because 9 times out of ten it will only depress you.. -

Morning girls. GT, oh the bowels! We are unfortunate sisters that way... My poor daughter suffers too. Brown, sounds like a fun time! Well except the Charlie horses that is. Yep get that bike out. I've been riding my recumbent bike again and it not that bad once you get into the habit Feed! I'm jealous! How nice to own your own kayak. I was up in the middle of the night thinking about things (I do that to often ) but one was about my year anniversary and I though about doing the post... You know "I'm a year out yay me" and I thought about before pics.. And I figured I would use the one of me stuffed into the kayak (it's hideous) that day I could not get out afterwards and had to roll onto the dock because I could not get up after. After that I went to find out about surgery... So I guess a kayak saved my life! Wow long winded didn't mean to pontificate Georgia, Sounds like a beautiful morning... I can't wait to make a fire. Cathy, I'm so envious of your Portugal trip. I've never been but would love to go one day, I'm Portuguese (and German) don't sweat the .5 gain that's very normal (but you know that) Cheri, so right about the stars lining up to lose weight! And sleep is a VERY important part. No candy here yet. I'm waiting until the last minute and buying crap candy I don't like. Ok so my mom is coming to town today and spending the night 0_o Lord above give me strength! I will fast tomorrow I think my stomach will be in knots anyway because of that crazy battle axe so it so it should be doable

I do something really easy cause I'm lazy But it tastes yummy! I get my Fage 2% plain Greek yogurt and mix some pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg and stevia or (Splenda) mix and voila! The pumpkin purée is canned.. And not the pumpkin pie filling purée! That stuff is full of sugar.

Pre-op weight loss requirements?
No game replied to ualaw08's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's not uncommon, especially if the person is super morbidly obese... But second opinions are always a good idea. Good luck to you -
You know.. Ok this might sound weird and long winded... But the knee pain reminds me about my hip pain at about a month out from surgery. I have a bum hip and have pins in it. But it doesn't really bother me I've had them for years. But all of a sudden a month after surgery, for about a month it was so bad I could hardly walk somedays. I though my hip was coming out of the socket and the doctors tool X-rays and everything but it was ok.. I came here and did a search about hip pain joint pain and sure enough tons of posts about it. After reading and talking to several people I wonder if "weak" areas become painful again for a little while because our center of gravity, posture is changing as we lose a lot in those early days? By the way my pain magically went away never to return.. Ok I know that made now sense but I just saw two of you with bum knees .

Doubts: sleeve necessary?
No game replied to ForkAndMindy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello pretty girl! I see you figured out the posting thing Ok why the sleeve, good question. Yes we do kinda have to measure things out especially in the beginning or there can be some unpleasant consequences.. But another reason is with the reduced capacity it becomes all that more important that you get adequate Protein, Vitamins, etc.. So measuring, weighing your food and recording Proteins is most important. Now as you get further out it becomes easier to keep track because you have your go too protein sources. For instance right now I'm eating my Greek yogurt at 20 grams so bam 20 down forty to go today.. This is actually my first meal of the day because I'm not hungry (it happens sometimes ) and I've taken three bites and I'm writing this to give a myself a rest because I'm full! The sleeve makes it easier to stick to these rules. Some of us still have hunger and I still have my days that I struggle mentally. But the sleeve has given me time and space to work on those additive traits.
