It happens to do many of us after rapid weight loss... I've lost weight before and never had this problem but since the surgery and lost wait even sitting for a few minutes hurts. If you google "sore tailbone after losing weight" You will get pages of theories. The padding or skin on the actual tail bone becomes very thin why I don't know..

Whoa! Did the doc tell you it was ok to eat a cup and a half of food?? Your stomach is swollen and numb so don't look for that full feeling just yet especially with things like yogurt. You should be measuring and eating only a certain amount the first weeks. For most of us it's 1/4 cup at a time.. You are a man? Your stomach is probably naturally bigger than mine but 1 1/2 cups is to much.

Wait a minute lady! Pizza proves that there is a god!! Or is he lucifer....

You ever wonder why he named that cereal after his daughter??

Yep Jim put it in a blender to purée it. It will look funny yes but warmed up, it will be savory and satisfying Yes egg salad is good. Some people have troubles with eggs in the beginning but I never did

Food just isn't the same
No game replied to Branmuffin's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Yes it changes I think most of us go through this stage at about the same time. As a matter of fact at about a month or so you could see me posting the same things. Didn't care if I ate again, food didn't taste good, wasn't worth it. In time things will even out and food will be good again. -
Santa clause made me fat!!! Or was it that little leprechaun that pushes the marshmallow cereal..
-
I bought things like roasted chicken (or just boiled a chicken) and did a quick blend on that (no skin) with watery instant mashed potatoes and gravy. Same thing with meatloaf. You can also buy canned chicken or tuna and make chicken or tuna salad. Chili blended is good, refried beans with a bit of cheese. Even had some canned "underwoods" deviled ham.

Hurt feelings and now I want to stuff it down with bad food...HELP
No game replied to laners777's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Laners my being vocal (and a couple of weeks ago a little to vocal one day) is new... I would take it all quietly and stuff. I'm now trying to find a more balanced approach with dealing with those around me. Not lashing out but not holding in and stuffing either. I explain all these feelings too with the family so they kind of understand the process a bit -
The odds are you did no damage.Don't panic. You just don't want to get anything caught in that staple line and cause infection. I would steer clear of any fruit just now though seeds or no seeds it is very fibrous and your stomach just can't and shouldn't be doing that kind of work just yet. Most programs say no fruits for at least a month or two some as long as six months..

Lynda, Holding on to the old...I've done a great job of clearing out all my extra fat clothes, save for one pair of "big pants" But I'm putting off clearing out my "kinda fat" clothes from the closet this I think is the hardest hurdle because well they are just a "little" big and "what if"? I hope to tackle them soon because I do not want any "what if's"....

Merry Christmas Eve day Lynda! Awesome about getting back to that lower end of bounce

Lol @ revs! I was just telling my husband about this.. Anger! My family is experiencing a bit of anger from me now because if I get angry I show it (not by cleaning though ) and they feel the wrath of laura-ven!! But I'm not stuffing...so they will live and so will I! -
Hurt feelings and now I want to stuff it down with bad food...HELP
No game replied to laners777's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Laners, We got you, I know how hard it is not to stuff this hurt and sadness down with food. But I'm so proud that you are here talking about it. We now need the courage to sit with our sadness to hold it out in front of us look at it, recognize it, go through it.. Sitting with our sadness and hurt takes the courage to believe that we can bear the pain and the faith that we will come out the other side. With courage, allow yourself to cycle through the hurt with full permission to experience it. -
Make sure you are taking a ppi. In those first weeks acid will feel just like real hunger. Head hungry is a powerful thing and in the first weeks we are in the grips of that too. It will get better this is only a stage (a sucky one yes) and will pass. As for your shakes try some sugar free syrups like Torani

Globe hang in there girl things can only go up from our lowest points. And I like the island of misfits Wow girls the cooking and baking! I'm feeling guilty as I've not done much of either. Kim, can we come to your house! I did buy a ham for Christmas and some veggies and new potatos.. But I might pick up some kind of dessert, I hadn't really thought of that because it's just us four here. And the kids will have their stockings with candy. Sue KFC! Aw man that place would get me about once a year pre sleeve! It always smelled so good but then you'd buy some eat and get sick from the grease and be good for another year. We might take the kids to the Hobbit today or go to the beach for a walk sunny California! Oh I'm going to fast today I now it's weird to do it on Christmas Eve, but I don't think it'll be hard because we have no temptations laying around. But we shall see. I love each and every one of you.. And I don't think I would be as happy or successful at this crazy ride without you

Post surgery questions

Hi cat, Did your surgeon give you any written instructions? It would be very unusual to not have a written diet plan. Also no exercising outside of walking of course until your doctor clears you (usually six weeks) As far as straws some doctors will say never some will clear you at some point again it can wait until you see him -
Starting The Liquid Diet

It's normal to feel weak and even get headaches the first couple of days.. Trust me it gets easier around day three. If you feel weak I would also suggest drinking all of your recommended shakes
