Any food addicts here?

Hi Leah, And we will not give up together When I went on diets before there was a beginning and an end. The last time I lost this weight was with a doctor supervised diet. I went into the office everyday, the nurse weighed me gave me a shot of B12 in the ass and sold me shakes. One day I walked in and she announced "you are done!" I left happy as a clam went about my life, as I was done with my diet! I ate like a "normal" person. Except for one thing... I'm not normal I have reluctantly and sluggishly learned this lesson. the thing we need to remember is we are in this for the long haul. -

Will My Stomach Stretch? Interesting information
No game replied to 1SuperBonBon's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you ask our surgeon (Zare) he will confirm that In fact the stomach can stretch. That's why it is so important to not eat to extremes.. Easier said than done some days -
Welcome back Cathy Three pounds? That's not bad. Hell did that over a weekend a couple of weeks ago... Sorry about the funerals.. My nana always said they come in threes so hopefully that will be it for a long while! I will be fasting tomorrow too. Oh and to the girls doing today, have a good one!

Good thoughts and posts butter and fluff! Families and food. Families and enabling. Sometimes I feel like my husband is enabling me when I'm going through a rough patch. But not purposely. When I'm battling carb demons he seems to go through the same cravings which is funny because he's very fit and athletic. But he will come home like he did last week with tortilla chips (my downfall) rustic breads.. And Nutella!! Ugh.. Kids?? I feed them healthy for the most part and my son takes after his father. He is underweight so we try and keep him fed. Now my 17 almost 18 year old? I've feed her well and don't get me wrong she is fit. I mean downright buff. Crossfit daily, army and the wrestling coach at school just tried to recruit her last week! But her eating? It's getting worse and worse. Her best friend is obese. And I notice they eat a lot together. I mean a lot. I try and talk to her about it, but she gets pissed and spits at me why would I take diet or nutrition advice from you Her body type is mine. I see her going up a little. I worry but I can't change what she wants to do.

So true about the constant.. It's becoming like trying to sick a finger in a dyke just to discover 50 more holes.. (No jokes butter )

Yeah the new version... He keeps telling me he will let me test it out first before it rolls out. But I'm not looking forward to it either.. Im a creature of comfort.

Yes I knew from reading here that there would be some depressing days. And boy there was! Even though I losing weight I still had days where I just went back to bed crying. It helped knowing the emotions where normal and temporary. But know that we are so lucky to have this opportunity and in the end it's worth the few down moments. you may go through unscathed too! I was terribly addicted to food and missed my comfort eating.

Thank you! A year has flown by... just think in a very short time from now you too will be happier and healthier! The first week (or four:p) are tough physically and emotionally, be kind to yourself and give yourself time

Pretty sure I f***ed up the sleeve. No leak, but I might as well have never gotten it.

Roundisashape, good stuff -
Hey dad, Yep that first week sucks! No getting around it.. I was just shuffling around the house and block, but that's about it. Are you on a ppi? The reflux will give you a sour rumbly hunger feeling sometimes.. But sometimes we do just get plain old hungry too Be nice to yourself and give it time. You just had major surgery. Honestly? I didn't feel back to "normal" for about a month.
