Support help, some members found out =(
No game replied to smallbird's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You know, I know, everyone on this board knows its not easy! People that care about me know its not an easy road. And the people that don't take the time to understand or care, Have no affect on my life one way or another. They will not know my deepest secrets they will not take care of me when I'm old.. So take care of yourself and the ones you love and the rest can find their own way -

Regret even after initial "omg, what have I done?"
No game replied to EnigmaInKY's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Kicking soda is hard to do! I stopped a year ago when I decided to cut out all sugars fake and real.. Oh and I lost weight.. But then start gaining again. After my son was born I went on a dr supervised diet lost all my weight! Then gained it back again. I have lost weight with low carb diets, and then gained it back again.. This surgery changed everything and is not easy somedays but its my last chance at a healthy life so it's worth it. Give it time it's hard in the beginning but gets easier everyday. It sounds like u love your husband go on a date that doesn't involve food. My husband and I like walking on the beach -
Ok I just looked first appointment was the 10th. But what ever it was it was a fast process !!
-
I have Anthem also!! My first consultation with Zare was on September 12th had surgery November 13th
-
I'm in Los gatos and had my surgery at Good Sam they have a support group there. My surgeon is dr Zare..

I get it! We went to Disneyland on Christmas so I didn't have to sit around and watch people eat! So my mother in law got pissed and won't give the kids their presents till we go over for dinner!! So I'm sitting home alone right now while my husband takes them! My husband understands but most people don't... I'm being really selfish right now and not going to things that are just about food until I am ready!! Stand up for yourself and say what you need. That's what I'm doing right now. Oh and yes I have a teenage daughter too so I understand

2 Days Post Surgery and Trying to Adjust
No game replied to popsicle_20721's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was sleeved 11 -13 -12 and the first week is hard! As much as you don't want to, you need to get up and walk! It will make you feel better sooner. -
They took out our stomach but left behind our brains! I think about it and hunger was not driving me to eat my head was! It is a big thing to over come I struggle daily with it.. I found that junk food goes down way easy. So we need to be really careful with it. I only feel the restriction when I eat proteins. So that's the key right ? Easier said than done.

Oh and cook until the bell peppers are tender!
-
I make my chili: I pound ground turkey browned in a big pot Then I add I can chicken broth 2 cans black Beans I can diced tomatoes I small can tomato paste I green bell pepper I red bell pepper chopped into small pieces I small onion chopped into small pieces Then I will add chili powder and salt to taste or you can just buy a packet of chili spices and ignore the recipe and dump it in! My husband and kids love it
-
Lol!! My husband would love if I took my whining and moaning somewhere else! Just wait until people see you a week or two later and look at you up and down like they were expecting a miracle !! Or the ones who asked every few days "how much have you lost now?" : /
-
I feel like I'm stalking you today! But i have to do something while everyone else is stuffing their faces when I got home from the hospital I was up! my stomach was huge! Give it time ! I was sleeved on 11-14 and am only 21 ponds down from then but oh well down is down some of us lose slow. I eat only what I should but its just the way my body works I guess. We just got back from three days at Disneyland and I ate nothing there!! But lost only a pound : / And walked for hours!! I have never seen that many people overweight and riding electric scooters! I know that I will not be one of those people because of this surgery even if it takes awhile

I think it's the milk... So using water might be ok -
Don't know what you are taking but I had to crush my Bp pills per doctors orders.

Ok just read these and don't understand what you two are talking about but protein powders come in the full liquid phase not clear liquids. Bummer that you have to do 7 days of clear I only had to do a couple of days.. -
Ok I know this sound kinda weird but I have the same thing.. Skechers made a shoe called "shape ups" these shoes have a cushy sole that makes your foot "rock" while you walk. I saw a different version of them in kohls the other day. Well I never feel pain when I wear them! It's worth it to at least try a pair on

I was almost at a 39 Bmi on my first visit. The doctor told me I might get denied at first because the insurance company needs a 40. Sooooo I went out and ate!! Guess what I was approved the first time. : / -
Bigger sips today...concerned
No game replied to want2live's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh and by the way logging is so easy with a smart phone and an app!! A trained monkey could do it! I also think it helps let you know if your eating to many carbs, fat, in a day, so u could adjust through the day. Hence my low carb low fat dinner -
