Hey guys there are more of us slow losers than you think !! Look how many of us complain about it And turning 40 this month?? I wish I was turning 40 !!! (I'm 46) it's all relative ! At least we did it right? we are here and getting where we need to be... Forgive I'm in a good place about it today but I get down about it sometimes too. -
If you do the fish only without the rice ( sashimi) It will go down better. Sushi rice has sugar and could be yucky on your tummy I would think...

Dealing with cravings

Sorry I read that part after I posted Even better! Don't diet just cut out one thing! -
Going to AA isn't pathetic! You will meet other people going through the same thing. It helps to have others that can relate. It is also a great place to make friends and learn to do different social activities that don't include numbing yourself with alcohol. It's a long road, but it looks like your trying to travel it now which is good Hang in there life can be good even after having a lot of bad thrown your way...

Dealing with cravings
No game replied to Rycherchick's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just a suggestion.. I to was really carb and sugar addicted. About a year ago I read a book called an "anatomy of a food addict" it talked a lot about sugar addiction. I decided to stop eating all sugars real or fake. Getting off diet coke was the hardest. I feel lucky I did it then. before i even was thinking about surgery, cause I don't know if I could of done both at the same time! I don't know when you start your pre op diet. But it might be worth a try just cutting out that one ingredient(s). To make the transition easy afterwards. You would be surprised how much food In America is made with sugars try finding bread at the grocery store without high fructose corn syrup! Even the healthy looking ones have it... Ezekiel bread is a good choice. Anyway don't diet just cut out that one thing if you can. -
Yahoo!!! Today my husband and son skipped work/ school and we took advantage of the clear weather and took a walk on the beach. Then we had sushi!!! We haven't gone since my surgery and that is the only thing we have when we go out to eat. It was awesome no problems I had one order of salmon sashimi with tons of wasabi. The only weird thing is having so little, it just looks funny...

No game replied to DanaInNewOrleans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think there are more of us slow losers than the people that come on here and say " I just lost 50 pounds in two months" it's just that we fixate on those posts and wish we were them.. I know it's hard when people ask everyday " how much have you lost now" and some of them ask everyday! 0_o I finally told everyone politely that asking me all the time was stressful to me, so knock it off -

I've had hot sauce ( on my eggs and such) no problems.. But I would say maybe try just a tad at first and see how it treats you -
