But you're acknowledging it and thinking about it! Which is good, I think, because you can now use this time to work on it and embrace your changing body and life

Has anybody else had this happen?
No game replied to Heather86 :o)'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have definitely had that happen I think it's somewhat common. Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason for it. But I notice sometimes if I'm nervous or tense about something coming up in my day, my sleeve feels extra restrictive. -

Can I drink coffee with caffeine?
No game replied to Iweeny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't drink it for awhile myself, which was hard because Was a coffee drinker and had headaches if I didn't have it every morning . But now I mix my beans half decaf half regular... Funny though I find as the months go on I am drinking less... -
What did the first week after hospital discharge look like for you?

Walking in the first week so? Good rule of thumb 10 to 15 minutes every hour -

I think everyone is different, but giving yourself the time to heal for the first week or two is a good thing. If you feel great that's good! But some have it a little rougher those first couple of weeks. I felt really back to normal (no weird pains) at about three weeks out. Oh and another reason to lie low the first week or so is the Bowel movement thing you will want to be by a bathroom sometimes! I learned that 4 days out when I decided to go shopping -
There is one my dear! I suggest after reading this that you block me, and I will block you! Love you!!

You are doing everything right and you are losing at about the same rate as... I would say 80 % of us here ! I know it's hard but be patient, do your protein and drink, drink, drink your water!

Best advice for a newbie!! Stay home for the first two weeks and after that buy some miralax because you will be missing your early squirty days

When can i eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwiich?
No game replied to cyncitygirl's topic in Food and Nutrition
One day you will be cleared for all foods. Then you will be able to eat those things. Some people have a hard time with bread, some don't. I am several months out and really haven't had a piece of bread yet but I think I'd be fine if I did! As for peanut butter I eat PB2 you can look it up on amazon or buy it at some local stores -

Hi Grammy !!! I have a ticker but it doesn't seem to show on the VST app. Sorry -
To clarify one thing, I never said it was offensive And as to the rest, I guess we will have to agree to disagree! I wish you luck on finding a surgeon and achieving you weight loss goals.

I think where you might have gone wrong (for me anyway) is insinuating that we are not happy. And telling us that there is professional help out there and we need it. I chose to have a therapist because I want to, and i like working on myself. I am pretty positive that the women here also know of that option.
-
I think what we have here is a major disconnect.. We are, all of us making positive changes. As far as I know none of these women are house bound for fear of being noticed. But there is so much more to me as a person than just my physical appearance. I really don't need someone's approval on my looks. Nor do I really want it at this point, I have other things that I'd like to talk with various people along the way in life. Men, well they are just a whole different animal.. I have spent a lifetime being judged on my looks by men. I don't know, perhaps we are all just lesbians ( just a joke girls)
-
Snap, I'm really trying to figure out where your coming from.... But I'm having a hard time O_o I think we were being really open about some things. Maybe to much so, to help you understand. But at this point it might be useless.. I think everyone has "issues" around being fat. We all have things we need to work on. none of us is perfect, even you

New guy here, you've GOT to read this!
No game replied to BigFrank's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Frank, that's awesome weight loss!! And your friends are right, don't trip out about the stalls. The stalls come and they go, its all just part of the ride! Great about the meds too. I think that's the scariest part about being obese, having to take these meds so you don't drop dead.... -
I will say that losing weight fast seems to cause body aches. I started having a lot if pain in my hip 4 weeks out. Had tests X-rays all looked fine. But it did not change the fact that it hurt. I did a search on this forum and found a lot of people had experienced the same thing ( and other body pains) I think weight loss significantly changes the way your body moves and the way your muscles work. It could put a lot of stress on the joints?
