No game replied to nailsbyniki's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Niki, You won't lose me unless you beat me off with a stick Remember when you converted and I told you, don't go, you belong here still?? You are helping guide so many that come up against the same complications. So for that I thank you for staying here. And plus I just like you -
Sleeve revision to gastric bypass tomorrow

I am so happy to hear this! Girl, it's bringing tears to my eyes Let's keep putting it out there into the universe for continual good news and improvement! -
Jane resonates is an understatement.. I think you know the back and forth I go to in regards to my weight. From the reactions I receive by those around me I can say I'm "just right" so I know a part of it is working on self love and acceptance of my perfectly flawed beautiful body. Some days I'm there.. But others I compare... Just a couple of days ago some chick shows up on the veterans forum with the title "just prancing around on my size 2's" ugh! I want to slap her And I question am I being lazy not working harder?? Comparing to each other is the devil I say..

Ok I did some reading.. It could be from the anesthesia. apparently the anesthesia effects your hypothalamus...which in turn effects your body temp. -

Ok I did some reading.. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compensatory_hyperhidrosis -
I felt the need to expand on this just a tad.. As we addressed before, I have a food addiction. I knew that years before this surgery.. From years of therapy but even having this knowledge and actively seeking help. I was still fat and fighting it. That's why I feel this surgery is an important tool. Maybe one of the most important

Yes, surgery is only one part of the equation... An important part though.

Excessive Perspiration Post Sleeve?

No.. I've not heard of this after??? Most of us are freezing now! I was always overheated before surgery but like many others here, I am always cold. Do you have a temperature? -
Glad to hear you guys are being proactive and fighting the decision of some paper pusher. From what you wrote about your husband in the past he NEEDS this surgery. I hate to see him denied the opportunity for health.. Aw yes picky eaters. My kids like to ask every night what's for dinner just so they can complain To that I say screw em! I like to remind the 17 year old that not every night is about eating your favorite thing and soon (I hope) you will be on your own...have at it then! and please do call at some point to tell me how much you miss that homemade "crap" while you're living off of top ramen Cook.. tell them to eat or starve. Last night was leftover night. Of all the dishes I made the last couple of days. I put all the dishes on the counter and said you can have anything from this counter. But I forbid any of you to go into the fridge or cupboard to make anything else (Yes I'm mean) they bitched but they ate

I think also when looking at the complication rate, You will see people telling you that it is much lower with the band. Well these comments and studies only take into consideration the first weeks. The sleeve as with any major surgery comes with the risks of complications do to the operation itself.. But the band as time goes on, will be at risk for many band related complications. It is a foreign body, and yes you can remove it, but by that time the damage is done.. Do your research (here) but also look at unbiased information too, studies and such.

Wow Cheri, that's still something I do! Cook too much and then find myself peddling leftovers for days... But on that note fluff, I understand cooking is hard. Especially when you work! And now that we are sleeved it makes it even more of a chore because really I could just open up a yogurt for dinner and be fine. Oh and one more thing...I HATE cooking too I'm not like GG (I wish I were) and want try new things. So what do I do? Start with a big piece of meat! I boil (yes boil) a chicken every week. I then shred all the meat off and use that for myself but also my family. For instance this last week they got burritos one day and soup the next day.. Sometimes it's fettuccine, sometimes a salad with chicken on top. Obviously I don't eat some of these things but when I make the burritos for instance I will eat the seasoned chicken.. Also if I cook a big slab of red meat one day the next I will slice it up and "fry" rice and veggies and add it to the mix. I am the only one in my family with weight issues. So these things are not great for me. But in balance they are fine for the family. Meat and veg and a starch for them. It's about reinventing... Your husband, I'm so sorry and I'm sure he has a lot of emotions swirling around with his denial. Perhaps they can dig around in his health issues and find another comorbidity and resubmit again?

My Dr. Says If I Gain 1 More Pound I Will Be Given An Extra Month Visit But....

Lol! Is there a full moon tonight? My eyeballs almost dried out and fell out of my head! Diatribe is right... Some more D worlds DENIAL and DELUSIONAL. Lawyer heal thyself, and while your at it take some personal responsibility. One thing I think you are correct in, as I read some other posts of yours. Surgery is not for you. Listen you have all the answers anyway why would you need to have a doctor preform a surgery to fix something that apparently has nothing to do with your gain? To the op I stand by my advice from above. It's time to push down the walls of denial and surrender to the process of true honesty with yourself and your relationship with food. -
Good it's happened a lot since the switch I was able to edit one of mine..but another thread I started and put progress pics up has all these random chicks on it now.. My favorite so far though is Jane's swimsuit thread instead of her in a bikini it a dog wearing an bandana

Goldy, jokes aside I know the stress, pain and confusion has been tremendous for you these last couple of months... As a husband I think he feels scared and helpless in this, that is not always a comfortable feeling for our spouses to sit with.. Did his worry come out in an articulate loving way? No... But he's human like the rest of us, and I have hopes that by the time you go in this week he will be right there, back by your side
