Awesome' date=' after you boil it let it sit for a few minutes before shredding it. It will "seal" in the moisture. Good luck, Laura [Edit'] a serving for me is 2oz or 1/4 cup and I would never try to eat More than that because it keeps you full for hours try maybe even less than 2oz

10 days out and still not allowed purees.
No game replied to MLCT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Most people on "full liquids" can have watered down strained cream soups like cream of chicken. Might be worth a call to your Nut.. -
Once again....google "black tongue" or "black hairy tongue"

Are you still on clear liquids? -
I eat chicken several times a week! I boil a chicken then shred it of the bones and use it in various dishes. Boiling it makes the breasts really moist...

Could be bacteria or overgrowth of yeast, look Up "black hairy tongue" Cause? Dehydration Medications, antibiotics, etc

Ok update!! I have read several posts just from today with people having to high of b12 levels ! Got me wondering... After a little reading it seems that the b12 being prescribed by the doctors is in part is from the experiences of the bypass surgery. There is some thought that we can become deficient, Although to a "lesser" extent? So it might be one of those things that the jury is still out on. My take away? blood labs are a good thing ...

still struggling to get in protein after 3 mths
No game replied to sleeve_sister's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree on shooting for the 60 grams of Protein right now. My biggest concern is the Fluid intake. That's good that you are drinking now that you are sick, but you NEED to drink at least 64 oz a day. If you keep drinking the tiny amounts you are drinking everyday you will end up in the hospital again and again which would be even worse for your Children! Especially with your husband away a lot. I know that drinking is a full time job now . And drinking and spacing out meals is tough. But it's what we signed up for going into this... Good luck to you and take care [Edit] oh and instead of real sweet tea, try "mio" Sweet tea flavor it's pretty good and definitely helps me. Hi me again! I also saw that one poster (not you) put "extra" protein in the form of an unflavored powder protein into a shake to make a super shake. Your body can only utilize about 30 grams of protein at a time. So it is important to break up the protein throughout the day... I know it's hard. It's hard for me too! -

Yes, let's see some pictures and stats!! Be proud show it off -
I'm so happy for you! It is something I struggle with also. Ive noticed that every time a compliment is given I automatically Answer it with an negative reinforcement in my head... I'm trying to work on that. it sounds like you are starting to recognize that you are worthy of praise. And you should be proud! It's a great accomplishment

Yes she is! She is 5 pounds of pure love and devotion! -
Yes butter, I would say, you are indeed a freak of nature! But lucky! I think most do get this "prescribed" To them. I think you should get an X-ray and make sure they took out enough of your stomach. Or it could be that salami they used for a bougie

Ok, tomorrow promise you will drink 60oz and I will will do the same? And you know what I've done when people start talking to me about It, i say "yeah it's hard sometimes and some people ask everyday how much have you lost now, and it just adds to the pressure" then I say "no no not you" but really it is them and they remember to shut their yaps after that! -

Girl !! You know I'm going to call you out on the water thing!!! That is the key! It sucks sometimes because I feel like I'm drinking all day.. like its a full time job! But when I keep it up I lose the weight. Oh and I know about the display thing! My favorite is when they ask me everyday "how much weight have you lost now" of course they don't do it as much now because they value their lives!! -

That sounds good! You don't want to add the good stuff to your shakes you might get spoiled and make it even harder to drink them afterwards!
