I read a article about this recently, especially for health care workers working long hours and night shifts. There was a propensity to chose high fat high carb foods. I also noticed it in my husband when he first started working in the ER his shifts were night shifts, he really started to crave baked goods, muffins and such it was weird because he unlike me he is very fit and athletic.. So I agree. I think it's awesome that you can take a step back and look at this from an outside viewpoint. I feel when we can objectively look at these things we can fix them!

Ok I'm going to jump in a minute! Adding extra calories doesn't necessarily mean high fat ice cream type foods.. It could be just adding an extra snack like some nuts or a piece of cheese etc... I say that because at this point (early stage of weight loss) for me at least eating ice cream would be a slippery slope. -
The only thing those will do is burn a hole in you wallet! Ba dump bump!!! Really trust yourself and your sleeve, exercise, eat right and it will turn out great!

Pretty girl!! Congratulations! And awesome that you are doing so well that you can change your original goal!!!! Whoop! whoop!

Stay At Home Mom's- How did you do it?

I'm a stay at home mom! But my children are school age (11 and 16). So I have LOTS of free time! And yes I'd find my way to the kitchen a lot for no particular reason. I was sleeved on 11-13-12. And I had a few weeks of "head hunger" which is pretty normal for all of us. But now it's not a problem, in fact nowadays eating and drinking the "required" amounts is like a full time job! Another nice thing is you tend to want to get out more and do things in my case with my friends like going for walks or going to the beach and ride bikes then get coffee. You will find yourself out more in the world with your baby doing things.. Which is good for both you. -
I love the way you look! I'd be up all in it....

Hi Amy! It's been a while! As a woman, you are allowed to change your mind! You have a good head on your shoulders and I know that any decision you make comes from much thought and weighing out the benefits and the risks. I am happy for you and will always wish you the best! Laura Oh by the way you will do fine in the airport!
-
Awesome!! I love hearing stories like this!! I'm so happy for you!
-
And just use a non peroxide semi permanent color!!
-
We must give it an eulogy and bury it....
-
You deserve to have a few new things through every stage of weight loss! I am not going to wear my old clothes that look ridiculously big just because I haven't finished!! You can donate them afterwards or I've had friends that have asked for things when I'm done!

when is it ok to start on mashed taters

Protein at this point comes mainly from the Protein shakes. Very little will be consumed from "food" in the first two weeks. Yes, after that, protein first is something I live by. I do not do many carbs (25 or so) . But not everyone does it the same, some just do moderation of "regular" foods and stand by that way of life, and still lose.. I do not like speaking in absolutes everyone's plan is different !! -
I can't believe there is enough peroxide in that to bleach it so much!!
-
Well it looks good in that shot!
-
That looks good Did u cut it shorter??
-
Ok I'm back I see you did dye your hair!!! You left it on to long? What color where u going for ??
-
If you are doing purée you have to purée the food with some sort of liquid to "water" it down. Are you doing that? Also when starting any new food, do just a tiny bit and eat it very slow.
-
Just get sashimi!! Yummy
-
I do ( I miss the gun a little though, so macho)
