No game replied to SkinnyInDisney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
what a waste of money!! Sorry to hear that. I went to Disneyland about six weeks after surgery. I just sucked despondently on my protein shakes every time my family ate. -

It would be ridiculous for you surgeon to say otherwise! He's coming from position of caution. As any surgeons would, giving advice based on the information coming second hand from a patient he's never met. of course he is going to give conservative advice. One word liability .. I'm not saying this man( the op) is right or wrong but so many different surgeons have different diets. I to followed a conservative pre and post op diet. Now if your surgeon won first place for best surgeon in the USA. awesome to you! But I take exception to words of condemnation to anyone who follows a different diet plan from yours and your doctors . -
I eat raw almonds almost everyday for a snack. no problems. I was sleeved 11-13-12 Oh and Fiddleman those sound good!

No pre-op diet required?
No game replied to SuchaPrettyFaceBUT's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think your right about it being an easier transition. You are going to go through so Many things right after surgery, missing food would be a nice one not to feel right ? Did he say that you can do one if you want? If so why not.. starting a two weeks out replace one meal with a shake for a couple of days and as you get closer do two meals with a shake and so on.. There are some doctors that do not have a pre op diet I noticed from reading a lot of the doctors in Mexico (not all) docs do it that way... So it does happen. -

Girl I was about to say something too. But I was too busy eating a chicken wing -
What have you done ?? Why, my dear, you made one gigantic and yes scary step in the right direction for a healthier life! It's hard in the beginning... But when the healing and pain are done you will not regret it It does get tough sometime yes, but that's what we signed up for. Treat yourself good and know that everyone has moments like this. But we are most happy we did it! P.S. it's normal in the first month or so to experience several bouts if "sadness" over this surgery. So I find it best to go into this knowing that it will be a normal part of our "journey". Its good so you can recognize when it happens, and be ok with it and know its going to get better. Good luck to you

Here's an example of someone else's recipe; Oh my I finally found my "Reese's" fix. It a recipe unjury had for chocolate Peanut Butter Protein balls. I don't have Unjury brand but I do have chocolate Protein powder. It's simple: 3/4 cup peanut butter - I use a natural one 2-3 scoops of chocolate protein powder Mix into a dough, roll about 11 balls, freeze and then eat. Oh my soooo yummy!!!

I have it narrowed down to who it could of been because it shows you the latest visitors to your page! Hehehe they better watch out Oh and the star rating is just wrong !! -
Hehe sorry! If you look at the top of this thread there is a recipe. Also if you do a search for protein balls you will find others Can you eat regular food yet?
-
OMG!!!!! I love the red hair!!! She is a cutie Thank you so much for posting those! You guys look like such a happy family, and I hope that soon you all will be out having fun again.. We still cut our tree down ever year too! Even though my kids are older they still like that tradition. I am able to eat regular food but I try to eat only "healthy" foods and so far no problems. I've always measured so I've never thrown up or anything from eating to much.. Lucky I guess! But ok here's another secret, shhhh. Don't tell Anyone. I ate a piece of pizza last night with my family! I feel kinda guilty and scared about it, Part of me wishes I hadn't tried it... It went down fine. But I am happy I could only eat one tiny piece. And I learned it doesn't stay with you that long so I will be going back to mostly Protein
