That is interesting. Did your doctor tell you why exactly? It's so funny how we all have different plans, instructions and such. I feel like a giant Guinea pig in the cage of life [edit] as in, can your body not process the "extra" Protein ?
-
I think you also have to take into account this is Written for people with "normal" stomachs in mind. So it cant really apply to us to much. Nice article though Oh and I agree with the first part. Americans LOVE products that are thinly disguised candy bars by companies touting that they are good for you and full of Protein and fiber!!

Hehehe.... yeah those crazy Aussies have funny names for everything! Nothing serious like our boones farm, night train, mad dog 20/20.

Ahh..weight loss surgery and the bathroom. So, for most people the first couple of weeks is smooth sailing! Sometimes a little to smooth.. But soon the constipation sets in and it will be a continuous problem for quite awhile as Iggy stated because of our diet. You need to find something that works for you. I would have a conversation with your doctor about this. I myself find the fiber gummies useless, I take miralax every day in one of my glasses of mio water.

Find a new job?? But short of that I would ask yourself can you stop at just the cheeseburger or is that going to lead you into temptation of French fries and soda. If you think that you can handle a cheeseburger once an awhile and stay away from the others that's great! Perhaps the burger without the cheese? I am in California, but have never been there. the cheese that fast food restaurants use tends to be not very good.

Thank you, I hate when I hear "babysit"when it comes to men watching there own children!! And that goes for "stepfathers" too. Taking care of the children is something both parents do, it is not just the mothers job. And if my husband did not want to care for our children he would not be my husband

Anybody have second thoughts 4 days before surgery
No game replied to trujiyi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hehehe... I didn't have second thoughts until they wheeled me into the operating room.. Shows how smart I was 0_o But having "doubts" fears are normal for most people! Yes it's going to change your life and your relationship with food, but that's what we need right? You will go through healing and a restrictive diet for little while. But you will be able to eat again and yes you can eat some if you favorites again down the road.. I eat for the most part a strict diet, but I for the first time this weekend tried a piece of pizza! It was fine I liked it. But I know now I don't want to eat it much because I love the weight loss and it doesn't have the same "pull" as it did before! -
I agree with John. And you yourself don't sound like you "need" the wine I would say that 4 weeks is a little soon. Another thing is, you will be out, if the wine hits you in a bad way It could make for a pretty miserable experience! Have fun with your friends embrace your new life, And trying wine will come. Perhaps at a later date and at home with a sip or two so you can gauge how it makes you feel!

Honey child! Stay away from the scale the first week!! I didn't even look at a scale for the first week! Look down I don't know about you but my belly was huge! (yes bigger than normal) I called it frankenbelly! You are swollen from the surgery and retaining water. Wait another week or so then things will even out. -
She sounds pretty.....

Sounds about right if you just had surgery I'm several months out and I take in anywhere from 500 to 700 a day. Just make sure your calories are mostly from protein
