Muahahaha.... Thanks! just ordered them!!! -
I think that a lot of jeans these days are made with spandex also, so there is a LOT of give.. I have weird sensory issues (spandex, nylon etc feel yucky )so I like full cotton jeans and there is no give.. So yeah I'm still fat and wearing a larger size

Yep... a cruel twist of fate. You know all those yummy, fat and carb filled foods you love and that got you here?? Well, they are sliders, and its best to stay far far away! I have joked with some of the girls that I had surgery with "girl you know eating that skinless chicken breast didn't get me here, ice cream did" Just one of the many reasons why the sleeve is a "Tool" and not a miracle That being said when you eat dense protein you will be stuffed and will not want to eat anything else! Good luck:)

Yep your right.. Anything over 30 grams in a meal is pretty much a waste.
-
She is right! for some reason being upright and walking has helped me when I'm uncomfortable from eating or drinking to fast.
-
I have read stories from many people here, that they Have had trouble with both of those things for quite awhile. So at three months out I still do not eat these. The best advice I could give is to wait and when you do try it, just try a small amount.

scared of failure...

I must say also, that I feel like nowadays my WHOLE day is devoted to the timing, measuring, Recording of food and getting my needed liquids. So I really don't have the time to over eat anymore. As a matter of fact eating can be a chore sometimes -
scared of failure...

I think... No I know all of us have moments of self doubt when it comes to this step that we have taken. I mean how many of us failed over and over again! What I think about it now is different from what I thought just a couple of months ago. But I do know having this surgery has helped me not to over eat and it has given me the time to contemplate the reasons why I was reaching for food (because it wasn't hunger). So it will help me make good choices in the short term and I am learning to trust myself to continue those good choices in the future.. -
I'm just jealous because I'm so thirsty right now! We had tilapia for dinner that we bought from the butcher pre seasoned and I think it was salty So I'm dying from being full and thirsty Moral of this story make you own fish lazy!

Thats great news! I know waiting for that approval can be stressful. But now your on your way! Good luck! Laura
-
Girl how are you chugging??? We were sleeved at the same time!! Now don't get me wrong I can do more than "sips" but I definitely can't chug!! Show off
-
Laura you will still get "hungry" but it is the normal kind of hunger.. Like when your body needs food , it's very different from head hunger...

A Big Mac and fries!! Hehehe.. But what I found it best, and I know this sounds gross but I was hungry and wanted real food! Was to purée a little roasted chicken with a little broth or gravy. Or you can purée some turkey meat loaf with some watery gravy and a bit of mashed potatoes. I bought instant mashed potatoes and made then really watery and also make the gravy watery because purées have to be mushy. Eventually you will want to not eat mashed potatoes but in the first weeks go for it

Good for you!! Getting off soda is a hard one for many people! I quit diet coke 1 year before surgery, but not for the surgery, it was just because I was addicted to them! It was HARD!! so it's good your taking care of it now and finding something that will make your transition easier. Good luck to you

Need encouragement getting nervious:)
No game replied to pretty girl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi pretty girl! (haha that sounds weird) I understand being nervous! We have all been there. It sounds like you have had to go through a series of appointments. So I will assume you know what your getting yourself into! As people say "I would be concerned if you weren't nervous" Yes this surgery is a pretty radical step! But if you are like me you've tried many times over for many years to lose this weight. So the only thing left is something radical. I guess you could ask yourself... "Do you feel that you can do it on your own with out this surgery?" And if the answer is no.. Take a deep breath and know you are doing what's right for you' -
2 weeks out- Sopas and pasta
No game replied to Bunnydee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Best to ask your nutritionist or doctor.. I have not had pasta yet (3 months out) But most people here say pasta is really hard to digest after the sleeve in the early stages. -
Happy dance!!!!!!!!!!!
