Yep I've resorted to a stool softener every day.. And I'm three months out. It's always been an issue with me so this had just made it a bit worse. When you are a bit more out make sure you get a little bit of veggies in everyday and some people here take chia seeds everyday. Good luck

I know!! And I understand I think as much as we prepare ourselves for this it is still really hard in the beginning for some of us! Remember what I said about the pre op diet? Enjoy it because it gets worse... But only for a little while I promise Is there anyone helping you out?? And are you walking? -
You know what I'm going to say Amy! Don't do it.. Your going to eat the food and then it will be gone. And afterwards? Nothing, nada, just you feeling shitty cause you are a ton of food..

You know what you have done? you took a very Big, and in the beginning scary and painful step to a happier and healthier life! You are only a few days out from a very major surgery! Yes it's done laparoscopically but it is still MAJOR surgery! Right now you need to give yourself time to heal.. Are you walking? Do so, at least 10 minutes out of every hour. And try and keep up the Fluid intake, I know it's hard but you need to do it. And know that having days like this (feeling down) is a very normal thing for all of us. you are going through lots of changes and its hard! But it's what we signed up for. And it will all be worth it in a couple of months when the pain is a distant memory and you are feeling (and looking) great! -

Hehehehe.. True to that one food wait 30 minutes liquid wait 30 minutes food wait again !! It is like a full time job!! If you have a busy day and get behind! Forget about it! That's what I'm doing right now trying to get more fluid in so I can go to bed. -

I think if you did a search with the word "regret" or "leak" you would see a lot of people that are not happy for whatever reason. But if your looking for everyday down sides.. Well I wish I could drink with my meals. I sometimes wish I could eat and enjoy food like I did before, I know that sounds weird but what can I say. Oh and the constant battle to not get constipated. That's always a fun one -
OMG Im really doing this...my surgery date is Feb 27...tiny bit nervous
No game replied to jacee's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi jacee, And congratulations on your date! I'm 46 and had this surgery 3months ago so I've only lost 46 pounds so far but I'm happy to report my face is bouncing back pretty good so far. Now my thighs that's a different story But I will take it over being miserable! Even though I have a lot more weight to lose I already feel so good. It's so nice to be able to walk out in the world again and feel good about being there! -
Having second thoughts!

I found that a lot of times when a family member doesn't "support" you it is just fear and they really don't know how to articulate it.. Perhaps talking to your daughter about her feelings would help? -
Muahahaha... Welcome to the start if your transformation to the "other side" Good luck Mastiff mama

For most of us popcorn is a "slider" food... That means you can eat a lot of it and not get full very fast.. So swelling in the stomach?? No.

What has your doctor told you to eat/or what not to eat over the next year?

The carbs seem really low!! You poor thing I do between 20 to 30 and well, that's kinda low compared to a lot of people ... And the calories in the beginning that sounds good but I would think 400 to 600 after the six month point seems a little low also?? Lisa do you it that little? -

I wore a light weight cami sport bra (like this one) to be comfy in the hospital. It was just better for me as far as getting around but also sleeping a lot and it had a front closure! -
