Did he say where they would "pop out" to?? Are they free floating? Shat out??? Or??? Do they form a pretty necklace around the spleen? -
We have that here! It's called shepherd pie As my son would say... I like pie

Blond! I was always jealous of women with lighter hair because there is so much you can do. Go lighter and highlights. When you have black hair it's just black! I do have gray in it now and instead of dying it I enjoy it it's like my rendition of highlights Isn't it a trip to go away and come back lighter?? We went away this summer and I ate!! I was scared shitEDless when I came home... But I was down? Weird! Yes the beach is fun and it gives my little family unit time to bond and tell each other we are thankful for each other

Yes it is considered experimental still and the efficacy is not as good as a stand alone.. Also the reversible aspect and ability to convert is in question too.. -
Lol! I'm here you can tell because my first post back is kicking up some dust My son has been in a spelling bee competition for the last two days and I volunteered for a potluck today at his school. Oh and I spent time clothes shopping too!! Body image is so weird somedays.. I squeezed my fat ass into a size 6 skinny jeans I think they are snug but my husband liked them but honestly it was between that pair and another pair that were twice the price... I think cost motivates him somedays I told him after I tried them on though that I still feel fat somedays like I know I'm a ton smaller... But it's like a smaller fat Laura I let things get into my head sometimes.. I need to be proud oh! and maybe lift a weight or two to firm up

Sleeve Gastrectomy FAQ's Can the staples tear out? No. Once you have recovered from the surgery, your body's own scar tissue heals the stomach tissue together, just as your skin stays healed long after sutures or staples are removed. Staples are made of titanium. You can have an MRI scan, and you can go through the detectors at the airport without any problems. What are the advantages of the operation over gastric bypass? There is no rerouting of the intestines, and no new connections need to be made. This makes it safer, easier, and faster to perform. The lack of rerouting eliminates the late risk of bowel obstruction from internal hernia that comes with the gastric bypass operation. Finally, the lack of rerouting also reduces the risk of Vitamin and mineral deficiencies. What are the disadvantages as compared to gastric bypass? The main disadvantage is that we don't have long-term data to document that weight loss will be maintained. A disadvantage is that the operation is not reversible, in that part of the stomach is removed and thrown away. It can never be replaced. (On the other hand, there should be no reason to want to put it back). What are the advantages of the sleeve over the gastric band? With the sleeve there is no foreign body to break, slip, or erode. There is nothing to be adjusted. Reoperation rate for these complications is therefore eliminated. Weight loss is faster and more reliable with the sleeve. The feeling of fullness that you get from the sleeve is much more satisfying than the feeling of obstruction or discomfort that you get with the gastric band. Few patients vomit after the sleeve, while many patients continue to have vomiting episodes long after they have their gastric bands placed. What are the disadvantages as compared to the gastric band? The band is reversible; the sleeve is not. Unfortunately this turns out not to be much of an advantage of the band, as the only reason to remove a band is for complications. Is removing the stomach safe? This type of stomach removal has been performed with the Duodenal Switch procedure since the mid-1980s. It does involve stapling, just like gastric bypass, and has similar risks. How much weight will I lose? This is obviously a key question. Unfortunately, there is no long term data to give us a good answer. Preliminary data suggests that weight loss may be similar to that attained with Roux-en-Y gastric bypass. -
Ok I signed in with an alternate and I'm not seeing it? It doesn't pop up under currents and if I do a search I can't get in... Skinniness can you let me know how others are seeing it? Maybe I'm missing something.

Skinniness why do you say we are not private? When I'm signed out I cannot get to these posts beyond our mission statement page.. I'll sign in under an alternate and check now though.. Fast went ok yesterday came in under 600. stress and depression are playing a part in the standstill of weight loss I feel though. Edit: great video sarsar!!!!

Hi Seagirl! Bet this is quite the read Nice to see you here and posting It must be hard to travel for work and be away from home ( wait that part sounds good! Teenagers) and take of your meals out. I don't know if I would stay on the straight and narrow. Oh thanksgiving, every year we cook the day before (and eat like pigs) then on thanksgiving I pack up turkey dressing cranberry sandwiches and go to the beach just my husband, kids and me. It's our own personal fuckED you to our families Last year was my surgery a week before.. so that didn't happen. It's funny my mom called today and said hey can we come with you? Ummm yeah...I told her ok but you won't see for me for Christmas (yes I'm mean) so thanksgiving I think will be easy not to over indulge its Christmas that has me worried! Family = stress and tons of food = eating ...

Forgive me gamer., but I'm assuming that she has since figured out she was drinking her calories. Since this was not mentioned in any of her older posts this might be part of the puzzle as to why some people can not eat but still gain? -

When you post here the only thing we can draw from are from the words that you write. -
Don't you love being able to walk away from something not because it didn't fit but because meh... It's ok but not great.. When I was morbidly obese it was about IF I found something that fit, I bought it
-
There is no "normal" we all have different size stomachs before the surgery.. So it stands to reason we will have different sizes after.. As to being able to eat more. Yes at about the six month mark the stomach is fully healed (yes it takes months) and relaxes a bit.. So capacity Is slightly increased. As always make smart choices and don't over eat until miserable.
-
Yes a some the doctors hate them here... They do the same things but at a lower cost..

Sleeve Construction Problem!?

Ok did a little reading and it does seem to happen to the stomach in certain cases Surgeon technique: regardless of bougie size, there are still surgeons out there that are starting the staple lines several centimeters from the valve at the esophagus at the top and the pylorus at the bottom. One patient who saw her sleeve in a scan described it as "barbell shaped" - it had a large pouch at the top and bottom, then went down to just the size of the bougie between. This has a huge impact on restriction and involves very stretchable tissue.
