My honest opinion??? That's a pretty generous liquid diet first off! And you are so close to surgery that its not a good idea to "cheat" Sorry I know it's hard, but you are almost there!!
-
Yes my dear!! That is what we call "head hunger" Your body doesn't necessarily need the food, but that pesky brain is saying eat! It will get better as time goes on

Drinking can hurt going down the first week or so. Could also be gas or acid. There are so many fun mystery pains that first couple of weeks I lost count!! But Lisa is right when in doubt call the doc -
Best tasting protein shake with hiighest pdcaas?
No game replied to isenbergl's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Premier Protein shakes pre made from costco or SAMs club There are MANY threads here about them that you can search.... From OTR; Looking at the ingredients of a premier shake, it is all milk based Proteins which score 1.0- the best score available. I typically say that premier is a "good alternative" if you cannot tolerate pure whey protein isolate or I'd you need the convenience. The downside to Premier shakes is that they are mostly milk based rather than whey. Meaning they do contain much of the impurities found in milk and are not a good option for the lactose intolerant. Keep in mind that immediately after surgery we are much more likely to develop a lactose intolerance. Therefore I recommend them as a convenience but not as a regular "go to" protein source. -

2 weeks post-op--very little restriction
No game replied to TES's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, definitely plausible. In fact not uncommon for five weeks out, I was asking just to get a general idea of her diet plan.. And about the burger if its in the 2 to 4 oz range doable! Yes some people only eat 2oz but some can handle a little more. So don't let that worry you! Just make sure to measure your food. And if its 4oz that's ok it's still a lot less than you were eating before? -

I know it's hard with kids and a husband! I have two children and a husband and all are extremely fit, even on the skinny side.. So it's hard not to have a least a couple of "bad choices" in the house! Like I said before its only for a little while.. Can you spread out your food so You can have something every 2 to3 hours? -
@peacockMama, marijunana??? Is that why your picture is so hazy?
-
You can do it! Tell that brain to shut its yap!! You have been given this great opportunity to change your life. Trust me it will be well worth the little bit of deprivation your going through now! Good luck, Laura
-
Touché? Yeah that might make a good "after" pose....
-
OTR you know I love the "before" and "after" Pictures just as much as everyone else.....
-
Martin...Its so sad, I understand how you feel about everyone there.. I would of done what they thought was best too, like you did. But my sense of right and wrong would of been in over drive! What happened was wrong! That adoption agency was wrong and you HAD the dog.. They should of dealt with the mess the made and not demand him back!
-
Short and sweet.. You will need help, you should not be lifting those babies!! Sorry

falling off the wagon - help!

On a serious note though. The "honeymoon" phase of a diet I know well! It happened after being sleeved too. You know... you've lost some weight, feel good but want to fall of the wagon and eat something yummy! The difference now is the lack if capacity to eat much. And I know that what I eat has to count (protein, veg). So though I do get pouty about it sometimes I have been able to get past that falling off the wagon part. And the pre op diet?? Well you just have to muscle through it, because the surgeon needs you to do it ( various reasons) Good luck to you! Laura -

Tell me about the first few months?
No game replied to amytug's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Can't keep my mouth shut! So l will finish now.... There are really great emotions too! The weight loss is obviously part of it. Being able to "normally" fit into the world is a perk. I don't have the stress that I used to have leaving the house and I am actually looking forward to the trips we have planned this summer. I wanted you to know this Amy, this surgery is the closest we are going to get to a "miracle cure" but it still a road that is difficult to travel some days. But I have hope that I will learn and be successful in my new life. Laura -
Tell me about the first few months?
No game replied to amytug's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Well as you know a lot of people wake up and at some point wonder "what the hell did I do to myself" I would say the first few weeks you will be mainly focused on healing and trying to feel better. In those weeks I let my family cook for them selves. I made sure we were stocked up on easy things and things I pre made.. Now on to the emotional part....wow where to start! So many emotions even three months out. I am so happy I did this, but its not easy everyday. We are, a lot of us emotional eaters. And though I've been through YEARS of counseling and have uncovered why I do it and tried to work on it, it is still hard for me some days. I can easily go a whole day without "wanting" to eat. But I have days for whatever reason ( stress,Pms, parties) that I just for a little while I want to eat like I used to. I want to eat to excess and enjoy the process.. Eating for me anyways is not "fun" or comfortable much anymore. Many people say they still enjoy it but I haven't experienced that yet. I have times where I think that I should just try a little of the foods that got me here ( high carb) yummy type foods but the thought that some if these are "slider" foods and go down much easier than Protein scare me so I stay away . It is sometimes a mind f**king experience. Now this does not rule my daily life but it is part of the emotional side for me.. Edit this app sucks sometimes it cut me off midway through this post! Oh well I'm long winded anyways:)
