Depressed and distressed! Help!
No game replied to kimmy42083's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes a lot of people love them ( I'm thinking of buying stock) As far as the veggies and fruit that's weird that you can't have them yet i mean because once again you are eating the Protein bars and those are just as "hard" to eat. Some people do have to wait a long time for lettuce because it can be hard on your tummy. But steamed broccoli or soft fruits without the skin are good. When I was in my early stages they ok canned soft fruit with no added sugar also. Ps. Always do protein first when eating. -
Talked to Alex this morning he is trying to help her!

Ok...your going to have to pack your food in an insulated lunch bag. Keep it simple some lunch meat and cheese, Bit of fruit or veg. Also I know you said you can't stand protein drinks.. But have you tried the "premier" pre made shake From Costco or Sams club they taste really good and are shelf stable I drink them at room temp all the time when I'm traveling about. -

You will not feel much restriction until you start eating that dense protein (meat) The protein bars are a last choice for most of us because of the carbs and...well everything in them! Try some roasted chicken you can even buy a pre made one at the store. -
Yeah goldfish!! And a Kit Kat!! They have a cracker type wafer in them!

Well, the first culprit I would say are the Protein bars.. Eating every three to four hours is good but you should make it real protein.., Example; Breakfast; an egg and cheese or I do a premier Protein shake Lunch; 2 oz of low sodium deli turkey and string cheese Snack; hummus or cottage cheese with a bit of fruit. dinner 2oz Turkey patty and some broccoli -
Yep!! Evil things!!!

I think a lot if us use the fat as a security blanket. And maneuver around life invisible for what ever reason .... I to have been in therapy for a long time and dealt with these issues. I can say I am the same girl I was a couple of months ago as far as personality, but I feel better in so many ways. Which has made me happier:) I have to say being out in the world at a smaller weight has made me "fit" in even more so you could say I have became more "invisible" since getting smaller. You sound like you have everything in place for a good "journey" Good luck to you, Laura

I must say that when the put the catheter in me it was will I was out. And they took it out when I was out after the surgery.. I too was up and walking after waking up and they were trying to get me to pee. The only reason I knew I had one is because they told me if I wasn't able to pee soon they would have to put it back in!! 0_o
