I didn't even know who was asking so please dont take it personal. I have seen people here start thinking they should dump their surgeon because someone told them that they found a surgeon that used a smaller one! I will dig up a picture to show you there is not that much of a difference... If you like. -

Hehe... Bougie police here! This is a topic that drives me crazy!! Here's my standard answer because sometimes people start to think "oh I have to find a doctor that uses the smallest one" The bougie sizes are used as a guide for the doctor when removing your stomach. As far as getting a "bigger" or "smaller" sleeve the difference between the ALL bougies sizes are really very small.. Your doctor will know what is right for you! Everyone's stomachs are different some are small, some are long so even two people using the same size bougie can have different capacities after.. And as far as "getting one as small as you can" If your stomach is made to small there is a greater chance of long term problems. -

I know purée is gross to some people Try a little ground turkey or chili A lot of people have a hard time with eggs in the beginning.. Oh and CHEW really well and only eat a tiny bit at first.
-
"Oh and then there's that picture of two smiley finger faces who turns out to be Cinderella. " Tell me about it....I usually try not to be friends with girls that are pretty! She duped me!!
-
Dude stand in line!! Oh.. but on the way over here, can you pickup all my hair?? imma going to make a weave!
-
My theory on that is that with all the "liquid" in the soup it's probably sliding through your stomach easier... your polyvoric valve is essentially not closed at all when you drink and having broth based soups are pretty much like drinking. you don't feel the "restriction" as much. Feels good but is not going to keep you "full" for a good amount of time. Have you tried purée to build yourself up to soft food?

Lol, it doesn't surprise me! At this point I'm losing more hair than I am weight!

3 days post op...is this normal?

They don't expect you to get it all in the first couple of days, so just keep "building" up to the required amount. And most importantly sip water all day. It will kind of be like your full time job for the time being but you do not want to get dehydrated.. -
I think we all lose at different rates... But 17kg or 37 pounds is pretty good, just stick to your plan and you will do well!

The first thing I saw was the banana bread!! Oh I'm in trouble! Yummy!!
-
You got that right brother! I've never liked white bread. I'm a fan of a dense hearty breads... I did a little reading just now about Ezekiel bread and the paleo diet the jury's split on that one it seems.. Good luck!
-
Yeah I get that.. It does definitely have more carbs but I figure they are "complex" and sometimes that's ok . But if you are doing an paleo diet it might not be good

Oh in that case I would go a step further and say why not Ezekiel bread? Here's the info.. I like it Ezekiel 4:9® Bread.
