Hehe.. The sad thing is the kids told her that just a couple of years ago! So I can't even blame it on "Out of the mouths of babes" oh well... Yes my in laws live to close by! But they have learned never just to stop by, thank god. My mother in law had all boys and grew up on a farm in north Dakota. No nonsense type woman. But at the end of the day I know she loves me ( I'm the only non crazy daughter in law) and I love her in a weird way too... But it's taken many years! I take it your mother in law doesn't live to near by? And yes camping with toddlers can be challenging! When you do take her though, if she's anything like my kids just bring tons of snacks. I'm not sure how you thought I took it off topic.. The vets were talking about over indulging AND throwing up I actually brought it back to that.. I get it puja you don't want me here, its been noted before. out of all the "newbies" that have come on this thread it always seems to be me that is used as an example.. Not a big deal to me anymore... I enjoy a good conversation about things and sharing different perspectives and knowledge. But I will do that elsewhere. Laura

Yes, I threw up right after surgery too. So would you say the its a restriction being different AND just mentally being at a more "normal" place?

Hehe, I know that one! But you have to figure they are right so little, so you gotta give it to them one once in awhile! I've talked to my husband about what you are doing so everyday he's up in my diet... I think kicking up the protein has helped too I've been managing 70 to 85 grams a day this week.

At four months out I have an occasional glass of wine. I will make it last all night as not to knock myself on my ass.. Coffee I mix my beans half decaf half regular and have a cup a day

I wore mine down.. But brought hair ties for the days after to keep it manageable

Fiddle I might have a gut of steel because I can really eat and eat fast it doesn't bother me!

Susan so pretty!! Ah I've not had carbonation yet! I did notice this weekend though, for the first time, when out with friends that I did get a little caught up and drank my wine and ate at the same time. I didn't even realize I was doing it until I thought about it later .

Oh and on that subject, I have a weird fascination on the throwing up thing... I have NEVER thrown up since the sleeve I read all the time about "newbies" doing it.. Now I see the "vets"sometimes still do.. I feel like I'm abnormal in this! Weird I know but I don't know if I would actually puke. Have even consider eating to much to see if I have this safe guard ( sick huh)

I don't know why you all have gone off topic again.... But I was really enjoying the topic about eating to much and making yourself puke from the vets, so perhaps we can stop this so so they can go back to it please. Thank you in advance

I'm 4 months out this week and it has definitely started coming out! I remember on my pre op appointment I even had to sign a form stating that I realized things like hair loss are likely to happen... Yeah it kinda sucks but it will grow back, and if it gets to bad I will buy one of those products like those hair loss fibers you put in your hair!
