God Sannah that sucks! Could it get worse than a 50/50 scenario! Such is life huh? 0_o. Well if you wait there will be a 50 percent chance that you go through the pain and still not pass it and have to do the surgery later... Me I would do it.. But I have not gone through the trauma that you have gone through in the last couple of months.. Does he say you will feel al better after? Or there will still be pain oh and have you passed any yet?

Umm..first surgiversary?? -
Hi Sannah, I'm glad he was a good guy. Wow that's a lot to think about (the 50/50 thing) if you try to pass it is there a time frame that determines 50/50 or a get better get worse scenario that determines it? Laura

As far as being active you will have to take a couple of weeks off for anything hard core but will be able to resume soon enough. I would suggest you read the "fitness and exercise" sub forum you will see there are a lot of long distance runners and such... It's really a decision that only you can make, to have weight loss surgery and at that bmi you might also want to check out the "self pay Mexico" sub forum. As far as is it worth it?? For most of us yes! I loved Water before its a bit of a challenge now. I'm starting to tolerate it better at 4 months but I do miss "chugging" it. I liked shakes before still like them! I have read several low bmi'ers that have "regrets" but not many.. I used to be an electrologist, I would have sad women with almost full beards come to me. And lay there hours every week and endure the pain to rid them selfs of this life hindering problem. Because they knew this was the path some sort of freedom. Then I would have girls come to me (sometimes friends) who had just a few hairs that would be nice to have gone.. After inserting the first needle and applying the current to one hair those girls would jump up and say "oh my god that's to painful, no thank you" it wasn't for them.. This surgery to me is like that story, it is life altering, and it comes with some pain and some sacrifice. But if you need and want it bad enough it's worth it Laura

Glad your doing well when do you get to go home?
-
Oh and people, keep it up and I'll start showing my butt! And it ain't pretty...you have been warned
-
Yes about the fourth day it got easier I don't know if you have kids and such but for me, I planned meals that where easy as not to suffer to much making food for them. And I also stocked up for after surgery for easy dinners that my husband or kids could make so I didn't have to look at food for a week or so..

Ok, well I always "saved" some for the night time because that was my hardest part... If you are really hungry a little more broth or shake won't be a bad cheat. Then tomorrow you can save a little for the night?
-
Night time is always the hardest! What are you allowed to have?
-
Are you hungry? or do you want it because you can't have it?

Lol!!! Oh and damn fiddle you got me thinking about the bars so I ate one!! (it was good and my calories where in the 500's for the day) But it's sitting heavy now.. So I did your experiment for you.... SNAKES YES! BARS NO!
-
Wow I've never really found anyone who truly regrets this surgery! I find it fascinating... What would you say that you didn't know going in? And are you a low bmi? I ask because it might be quite a sacrifice if you only have a little to lose. Oh, and I'm sleeved and I would not change a thing about my decision. It's hard and it doesn't cure any addictions you might have with food. But it's giving me the time and space to work on those things.

Hi Sannah, I've never heard of a "personal health coach" What is it?? I'm glad your cleared to get moving again. But don't go over board! Lord knows I don't I have two tanks one of them is a "pico" coral tank it's only 2 gallons and only contains corals, star fish and one tiny clown goby. The bigger tank has mostly corals too but a few fish and a pesky shrimp that I swear one day I will eat! He steals all the food out of the corals mouths when I spot feed them! I'm glad the new medicine works for the spasms.. I wonder how long you will have them and have to take it?? Laura I tried to take a picture but its really hard with the phone...

Are most Sleevers Women? If so Why?

Oh and they also hang out in the "fitness and exercise" sub forum too! But really they are all over -
-
I'm no expert.. But I always go for the shake at the end of the day if I need it, just because there is more "crap" in the bars...

There are lots of men here! Actually a lot of them were just in the "mans room" talking about weight loss and male type issues! http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/73434-need-other-mens-advice/page__view__getnewpost -

I would think not... Just because of calories and carbs. and might not be good for the liver that they are trying to "shrink" before surgery. -
Are you hitting that morphine at all?
