Look this thread is a whole meal now! Oh and I also use my dry fry tofu instead of flat bread to eat hummus.
-
I tried to put pictures but its not working...
-
Sure let me find it and cut and paste I'm lazy too! To dry fry, I cut up my tofu and slow fry it with no oil or butter on a non stick griddle or you can use a cast Iron pan. I fry it on a lower heat to get the moisture out and crisp it up. Tofu isn't really high in carbs, I buy mine at trader joes... Also after you dry fry it you can do different things with it...like marinade in anything (it is tasteless so will soak up any flavor) and stir fry with veggies I like it marinaded sometimes but I will also eat it just straight from the fridge cold after dry frying it

My saving grace is that my kids are snobs and when we go out to eat its always sushi... And we live in an area that there really isn't any fast food terribly close (thank god) because if it were closer I think the temptation would be overwhelming! Oh but we do have an ice cream parlor within walking distance ... And Tuesdays are 1 dollar scoop night

You know, when i read that just now I was shocked... But then I was like "yeah I believe it"

WOW that looks great! It looks custom tailored! Glad I stayed up! Oh and Peter noone (spelling) ??He has nothing on you
-
Omg the best thing I learned today! I dry fry my tofu too!! Now I can have tofu veggies and rice like the old days ! Oh and I use Braggs liquid aminos for soy sauce.

Kind of off topic but I saw a great documentary called "does your soul have a cold" It was about the big pharmaceutical companies marketing their wares to the people of Japan. Very eye opening as to the way these ads and commercials sway us into thinking we might "Need" these things! Good movie check it out if you can!

Haha! I remember that with my insurance too yes they happily gave me ambien but put up a fight about the lunesta !!
-
What the what?? What is this stuff that you speak of? Cauliflower rice?
-
Super sized! Yes American are doomed... but watch out those fast food chains are slowly working their way around the globe it's only a matter of time!
-
Better ask your wife first!!
-
Lol mike I must have missed that one! Or Martin stole it!!!
-
I was too but I took the time and let myself be ok with it.. I don't work so it was easier for me. I was given so much **** by the psychiatrist something to sleep something to wake something to make it through day something to counteract the side affects of this one and something to counteract that one! I was a walking science experiment. I had my world crumble around me and that was hard and i needed help, but I think living through prescription drugs wasn't really living too.. Good luck to you and yes I did one at a time too! So I think you are on the right path

I think that's the scary part is that a lot people consider those amounts "normal" that's why I thought it odd when everyone in my house was like yeah? What after they saw that commercial!
-
Martin and I are still waiting for some afters!!!

Lunesta might be worth trying.. Ambien did all those freaky things to me (talking to people not remembering) so I was switched to lunesta. I was on those for three years (after the death of my brother) I was on all of it Xanax ambien and a few other anti depressants anti anxiety meds... It was hard but two years ago I kicked it all. I knew that I wouldn't sleep and I didn't at first but I do know and feel so much better being off of most of it ! I still take a very small amount of Prozac but will be off soon enough Good luck to you. Oh I feel so much better being off of all of that stuff!

Isn't that weird! My tastes are pretty much the same but coffee is different I drank it everyday BLACK and loved it! I did cut it out the first few months.. But now I mix decaf and regular Beans 50/50 But I have to add milk and sweetener to it now to taste good! O_o

finally discharged from the hospital after 2 days
No game replied to dat_sweetmami's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Everyday it gets a little better.. As much as you don't want to do it sometimes walk, walk about 10 to 15 minutes out of every waking hour it really does get that gas moving and out quicker! Discomfort can last about a week make sure your not twisting and bending to much. And it's easier to "roll" when you are getting out of bed. Good luck to you -
How much is too much protein?
No game replied to Gabi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lots of water and if you are consuming more than 30 grams of protein at one "meal" your body will probably not "use" it. It is said that the body can only metabolize around 30 grams at a time.. As far as daily amounts of protein it's a really individualized thing I've seen people here do 60 a day up to 120+ a day -
Don't wait to long Gmanbat some of use have a early bedtime around here!!
-
I'm 46 I'm glad I did it now! Wish I had done it several years ago I have lost and regained this weight so many times I've lost count O_o Good luck to you!

No game replied to Raquel313's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I wonder if its just nerves or anxiety?? I've never had the band. But I know when I'm Anxious about something coming up my sleeve gets "tighter" and eating is hard.. Just a thought.
