  3. Well as long as you had the upper hand... You should be fine!! But really I would call the on duty doc and tell them that due to circumstances beyond your control that you physically over exerted yourself and now have internal pain... Say you broke up a dog fight or something ..
  4. It sounds like you had a physical altercation? Where you hit/pushed in the stomach area? Or we're you twisting?
  5. Turkey chili and beans are good.. I also liked meatloaf and gravy and watered down instant mashed potatoes together..

    What is this hurting?

A lot off us had a pain at the bottom of the ribcage anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks out, its from the internal sutures healing and stretching.. This could be it.

    Question

I did not feel even close to human the first week or two ( I'm a baby) but after three weeks going into the 4th everything was healed and so much better! As a matter of fact we went to Disneyland at six weeks walked all day everyday and rode all the rides!

    Question

Yes that goes away! (i had that) In fact in the first month there will be all sorts of mystery pains coming and going... They all work themselves out and all will be good! I'm saying this by the way after running errands all morning and eating out at lunch having a normal time of it

    Question

No.....you will most definitely be able to get your protein in with "real" food! I am four months out and can eat may protein (for a while now) I do LIKE my Protein shakes though and will have those for Breakfast not because I "need" it though
  11. Yes she wrote me this morning... I will miss her she added a lot of insights and encouragement to a LOT of different people... I am 46 deb is a bit older than that (and much wiser) and I think she just was hit hard yesterday and realized she wants to concentrate on the positives... It's sad and I will miss her here, but will keep in touch via email.
  12. Mike Susan and I were talking about this a couple of weeks ago... On the vets forum and she posted some more about it on another thread... Of course the reasons of resetting your metabolism for US right now is weight loss but I think the theory is the same This is what Susan said on the other thread let me know what you think.... BY SUSAN; I am four years out. For the first year, I lived on 800 calories a day. Then, I maxed out at around 1200 a day. For the past eight months, I have been battling with gaining and losing the same three pounds. I was so sick of it. I had no energy and generally just didn't feel too great. My fiancé is a nutritionist and a personal trainer. For two years he has been preaching to me that eating so few calories for the the first few months of the weight loss phase was one thing, but that it wasn't healthy to maintain that few calories long term. He kept insisting I needed to eat more in order to lose weight. Like another poster said, he told me I wasn't losing weight anymore because my metabolism was so incredibly messed up. My body had gotten used to the fact that I was starving it, so my metabolism slowed way down to compensate for it and my body started storing fat. About six weeks ago I decided to give his method a try. We figured out my base TTDE based on my age, weight, height and activity level. Just for my body to do nothing but lie in bed all day and do nothing but breath, I would need to eat a baseline of 1950 calories a day! So, we moved forward to "reset" my metabolism. I now eat about every two hours. I don't eat junk, I eat high Protein, healthy foods. The first few weeks, I gained between one and two pounds per week. I was in panic mode. I was terrified of eating this way, I just knew I was going to end up fat again. But, I promised him I would try it his way and would give it eight weeks. He warned me that I would probably gain weight at first, he said my body was going to take all those extra calories and hold onto them, because it isn't used to my actually fueling it like I should. But he promised if I stuck with it, I would get past the gain stage, and my metabolism would pick up again. Well, I finally stopped gaining and was maintaining. Next, he dropped me to 1750 calories a day, and if I exercise, I would eat those calories back. Guess what, it is working! I am now back to losing one to two pounds a week again and couldn't be happier. I have more energy and feel better than I have in two years. So, I do believe we need to keep our bodies fueled. I have done a lot of research on this in the past few weeks, along with finally listening to my own personal nutritionist/fiancé. I have a healthy Breakfast, then a couple hours later I will have a Protein Bar. I eat a healthy lunch. In the afternoon I snack on fruits, cheese, Protein Bars, nuts, beef Jerky, whatever strikes my fancy. I have a healthy dinner and, usually a snack about two hours before bedtime. My body has responded well to fueling it every few hours and I am a believer now. Just wish I would have listened to him two years ago!

    Emotional

I think Kirk is right at 5 days out most of us had several "what the hell did I do to myself" moments. I have to say in the first month I had on and off depression...sometimes it was food related, I wanted to eat the way I used to and couldn't. Think about it, most of us ate for comfort and we just did this major scary thing and we are in pain AND we had our security blanket taken away!! It does get better, just know that this is a normal part of the process and at 4 months I can say I feel pretty good
  15. You look great!! And sometimes husbands are a little slow on the uptake... But you gotta love em!

    Im stalling :(

Well that's not to bad.. Why not start a food diary like my "fitness pal"or I do "calorie counter" And log your food everyday. Make sure you make protein and water goals and hit them ever day Like 60 to 80 grams protein And 64 to 80 oz of water..

Ok... Well just because you had it in Mexico and didn't prepare yourself it's not to late. You just have to want to put a plan into action and follow it. Are you starting with protein when you eat?
