  1. For me it's awesome to be cold.. I was always overly hot and sweating when I gained the weight, even in winter after the surgery I went and bought the most luxurious cashmere cardigan. I love that thing it feels so nice to wear layers and feel good. just yesterday I was running around all day and at the end of the day I was still wearing it! on a semi warm California day! Happy!
  2. No as a matter of fact most of us are freezing afterwards, it's awesome!!! The ghrelin hormone in your stomach plays a small part in body temp regulation, so I've read. May be one of the reasons...

    What about "the girls"?

    Here you go...
  5. As miss AntiBand said just go really slow, everything in our digestion is so screwed up right now. It takes weeks for things to calm down. But if its really bothersome after a while do ask the dr about an increase or change Good luck to you!
  6. I had this too.. A lot of people take a ppi after surgery.. Did your doctor give you a prescription? I never had an issue before surgery and only had it for a couple of weeks afterward so I didn't take anything . But for a lot of people the acid blockers really help.

That's is awesome progress! You must feel so much better huh? And you look great, happy and healthy Laura
  8. I hope I wasn't "brow beating" it's just that "dat" Is almost 1 week out from surgery....
  9. Hi dat, Looks like that head hunger is getting the best of you again! Well you know what I'm going to say! as far as soda flat or not you are very new out from surgery and I would talk to your surgeon first about that one... I found diet coke one of the hardest things to quit. I stopped drinking it about a year before surgery because I was cutting out all sweeteners. As a personal observation though, since 2 months after surgery I've started using sweeteners again (in my morning coffee) I'm experiencing more "cravings" now.. So I'm going to stop sweetening my coffee ( i used to drink it black before surgery ) and see if it makes a difference. Good luck to you and remember the first few weeks for some of us are like kicking a drug habit And not easy. Laura

    Is it really that impossible?

I'm not sure who "they" are but they are misinformed the urban myth about tiny bougies are just that... There is so little of a difference in bougie sizes 32 through 40 something .. In the past 60 bougies were sometimes used, those are a little big yes, but no longer used. As far as Chimera i'd say 137 pounds lost with 40 something to go is pretty darn good!! Good luck to you in whatever you decide. Laura

  17. I think a good thing to reflect upon, is why did you have this surgery? We just made the most radical step we could of made, to assist us in losing weight.. Now is the time to stay on task to get what you want and what you need I always think about how lucky we are to have been able to do this! Do you know how many people in our situation WISH they could do what we are doing? Love you choice love yourself and use this gift!
