Need help im falling into an old habit
No game replied to blessings's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Eating to fast will definitely put you in pain from being overly full! This is something I've had problems with since surgery also.. It's very important to measure the proper amount and for us and sit down at the table and "think" about the pace and the "process" of our eating. Forcing yourself to throw up afterwards is an altogether different issue I think stemming from past behaviors. It's something that you should definitely talk to someone about to try and work through the thought process behind it. Oh as for the bm yes that could be contributing to the uncomfortable feeling.. I have to take stool softeners sometimes for that issue. -

You say you are feeling full all the time... Are you eating over the recommend amounts? Or is it happening no matter how little you eat? -

You may want to set things up for ease after, like having pre made meals for your child and such. Also have some help for him/her if you think he/her will need it.. But myself as a 46 year old woman I needed no help for myself afterwards.. Driving was not fun the first couple days after so I didn't.. I was able to care for myself.. I've read some stories here where people say they needed help for very basic things like pulling up their pants, wiping after going to the bathroom and even showering.. I think it it depends on your personal health history and issues really.. Good luck to you, Laura

My advice? Don't wake up fighting.... When I first "remember" waking up I heard the anesthesiologist telling me if you keep fighting we are going to have to call the psych person!?! what the what??? I guess I don't like waking up from surgery either

I get that way too! I always down play it or change the subject... I don't know my weight is a very personal thing to me.. And I guess I pretended that no one noticed I when I was rotund and now I'm wondering why are they noticing the loss...

1 month post-op, am I eating too much?
No game replied to TexasMiss's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Texas it sounds like you are doing great! Everything is right on track.. Just stick to the program and you will do well... And remember that old tired (but true) saying. We didn't gain it in a day so we are not going to lose it in a day either! Patience is a virtue I think we all struggle with after this surgery (me included) it will come and we will be successful -

I'm glad to hear that John! I've been looking at your blogs (stalker) and tried to comment but couldn't that I thought you were not eating enough and that's why I think the weight loss has stopped.. -
1 month post-op, am I eating too much?

Well texas you just saw what I thought about the crazy low calorie thing... I think it's really important at this point to make sure you are hitting that 60+ protein goal and at least 64oz of water! There will be others coming along I am sure in a few minutes to say that I'm wrong and you should eat less at this point... But I THINK that 800 is not to much as long as you are eating 800 calories of healthy foods -
What ifs can drive you crazy! That being said, a lot of us had those thoughts... But what if I didn't do it and died of a massive heart attack...

Girl what's on your equal sign I'm so old and my eyes are so bad I can't tell! By the way my Pm's seemed to be broken today... -
I wouldn't trip about that! I was able to eat 1 egg and cheese the very first day I was allowed! I'm now 4 months and can eat more. If that freaks others out? Oh well... it's a nice normal amount and that's what we are supposed to do! I've seen the people say "oh my! that's to much" "I only eat a bite and I'm stuffed for days" That's not me... Now if you came here and said girl I can eat 1 whole layer cake then we would be talking problems!! But you are eating normal.

Congratulations to you! I'm glad you are doing well

No game replied to superchica879's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In a word "yes" lots and lots of hair everyday starting at 4 months. I thought maybe since I'm dropping weight really slow I would be spared and I take all my supplements protein etc.. No such luck... But I knew this was a risk and well..it what I signed up for. -

They do not sound like the kind of people I would want to work with... There is not enough money in the world to pay me to be disrespected and put down.. -
