Most doctors will say to take about a half hour to eat the 1/4 cup of food.chew slow and a lot also take a minute or two between bites. You might be drinking to fast.. You can also play with the temperatures of the water...

The sparking drinks still have the carbonation that make the sodas a no no too.. Now there are some out there that say that their doctors allow them to have sodas at a certain point out.. Not sure what your doctor thinks but mine is a absolute not.

  8. Girl me and dean are talking food here!!
  9. My husband was like tell dean thank you! I told him you just asked what's worse s'mores or a Peanut Butter cup... He was like OMG great idea make a s'more with a peanut butter cup instead of a regular piece of chocolate 0_0 S'mores are a camping treat made with a marshmallow that you heat on a stick then put it on a graham cracker, top it with chocolate and another graham cracker..
  10. Found it! Okay a little science here as told to me by my surgeon. Water has a high surface tension, meaning that its barrier to allow it to be broken down is hard. Think of a steel paper clip that floats on the surface. Now your stomach is like the size of a coffee stirrer at this point due to swelling etc. because of the high surface tension it is hard sometimes for the water to be absorbed and gets kind of backed up if that makes sense. So when you dilute water or mix it with something if breaks that high tension and thus can be absorbed faster. Not everyone experiences it but it is one of those side effects that can happen.
  11. In two weeks! Beach camping too! I guess there will be no s'mores this trip for me though!! Hehe the first thing I think if is camping treats!! Oh and s'mores are another discusting American Treat
  12. I read an interesting theory that someone here (Forgot who) Was told by a doctor that water has a lot more "surface tension" than other liquids we drink so it's not absorbed as easily as say juice. It was explained with an experiment with putting a paper clip on top of water and it floats on the surface tension more than it would on a cup of juice...
  13. But you know what??? Who cares if you need it it should be an option... Dean getting ready for camping?
  14. It's a sorry reality, but water, for most of us is harder to drink after surgery... At 4 months I'm handling plain water a little better these days. But I still flavor my water with mio "sweet tea" drops most days..
