It's hard but measure out 1/4 cup and eat tiny bites at a time put your spoon/fork down for after each bite and chew until you cant chew anymore.. This was one of the hardest things for me to do..

My favorite is when mine is clutching the remote control and has a baseball game on. Then when I try and get it to change the channel he's like. "I'm awake!" Then falls right back to sleep!

I think it's just scary to me Frank, one of these girls was on another thread going after a fellow sleever who is at goal weight and eats healthy. And ate normal amounts during her losing stage (around a thousand) Saying why would you get 2/3 of your stomach cut out just to eat that much!! I know this girl must be scared because she currently has a lap band and did not lose the weight.. Nothing is perfect nothing is a miracle.. We all want the same thing at the end of the day, Health and happiness.. It's a sad sorry state of affairs if you ask me...

My husband can fall asleep anywhere! And if you wake him up he can fall right back asleep.. I always tell him it must be nice to have such an empty head that he has that capability... My mind never stops and sleep is elusive ... Oh to be simple minded!

Great progress! I'm not sure what your doctor has on your purée list but a lot of us started with refried beans (puréed of course) whatever you start with just try a nibble at first and wait awhile to see how it sits with you.

You know I don't personally mind if you get the surgery.. Just want you to know as many facts as you can so you can make an informed decision.. Not one based on a misinformation..

I think it's really important to say also if you really wanted to you could eat "around" the sleeve after the first month or two.. So it's important to really build up your willpower.. Something I'm still working on..

A lot if us still have hunger. And most of us ate because we wanted to, not because we were hungry... You know when I first had this surgery I likened it to having my "free choice" Taken away... Because I still really wanted those foods I just couldn't eat them though because of the pain factor...
