Your kids are young enough that they probably wouldn't notice if you got rid of most or all of it! My kids are 16 and 11 they would have a thing or two to say about me throwing anything away! And they know how to hide any candy they might get from me and each other... Is it a ton of candy? Or could you get rid of most of it and give each kid a little Baggie with several pieces each that they can have? That way they can keep track of their few pieces and it will keep you honest about stealing.. Oh how I hate the Easter baskets full of candy so easy to just grab a few and no one noticed 0_o

Amy I wish chocolate bothered my tummy!! My kids did not want to go to grandmas house today! So I told them a couple of days ago fine, but that was your only chance at Easter candy! I'm not buying any I did let them walk to the store a while ago to buy 2 Cadbury eggs each though .. But they ate them gone and no worries for me! Deep breaths and time will make things better
  3. Girl do you know how many angles I had to try to get a decent picture!!! Shhhh.... Don't tell
  4. Hehe I make both of my kids stand in front of me in photos and they still can't hide it all!!!
  5. Lol!!! It's a hard one right? I'm fat! I was really fat a couple of months ago but I'm still fat now... A couple of weeks ago I put up this new picture and when I answered someone's post a couple of the guys made nice comments about it... Well the OP right away got miffed (as she should of) about it being the story of her life.. That she said something and all the attention went to the prettier skinnier girl? Me?? I'm fat IM STILL FAT I felt for a minute like I was being kicked out of a club! My name is laura and I am FAT
  6. Roller are you trying to go incognito with that new picture ???
  7. Hi you are going to find a lot of people here that "strongly" suggest that you should only consume 600 to 800 a day but there are a lot of people will also tell you 1000 to 1200 is target in several months what does your doctor say? And I think some people have their "sweet spot" and think that works for everyone. Now granted you are very early out and I'm sure you don't even come close to 600 to 800 a day. Track you liquid right now and your protein. Worrying about the calories will come into play soon enough ...
  8. You know one of my favorite things about being a grown up is?? My ability to make my own decisions and my ability to get int the car and drive away (or get off the phone) from the craziness that happens with my family sometimes you are doing what's right for YOU. They will have their opinions and worries but you shouldn't let it rule your life. Find the support you need through friends ( and here ) and know that they (your parents) will understand in time, perhaps when they are no longer worried and you are getting happier and healthier!

Amy I had my surgery the week before thanksgiving and missed that and and at Christmas I was still on a restricted diet so we skipped that and took the kids to Disneyland instead I COULD NOT be around people sitting and eating all day! It's called self preservation!! I take a very low dose of an anti-depressant have been for years I did not stop before or after surgery. It might be time just to go back and take a small dose?

Wow you are right at that window of being most likely out of danger for a leak... Right about six weeks?? Would call the advice nurse at your doctor.. And run those symptoms by her/him I know I had a stomach bug last week and my stomach was churning and cramping. It's a temperamental little thing these days!
  11. I went to Disneyland 6 weeks post op and rode everything I possibly could..... but if you think a ride will be to jarring (like smacking your stomach) you can avoid those ones
  12. Good points makemyownluck! And another thing i just remembered I'm a night downtime relaxing eater!! So during pre op I always saved some "food" for the witching hours!!

I think that the fact that you are aware of what's going on and why is the biggest step you can make! You just need to stay mindful as to why it's happening and and take a step back when you start to feel like your emotions are getting the best of you. In the beginning I knew my limits and at times just needed to remove myself from some situations for a time out. And my family was informed about my temporary craziness and allowed me to have my time (gladly) Good luck today Amy !
  14. There is no magic too it really, it's hard and the first two days are the hardest. But you just have to do it! Be strong and know you are doing it for very important medical reasons. I say this because just a couple of days ago I was talking to a woman here that went into surgery and when she woke up the doctor told her they were not able to operate because her liver was still large! So they opened her up for nothing.. I felt so sad for her she was so upset. You can do it. Be strong and know its for a successful surgery Laura
  15. Sounds like you are doing well so far. This topic is about weight gain for those sleevers who are a year or two out and close to goal or at goal and trying to maintain. Good job though on your weight loss
  16. More like sweet and chewy!
  17. Speaking of dream, I just woke up from one that you were at my front door fiddle dressed as a giant fritter....
  18. No fiddle, it might cement my love for you forever!
  19. Not even sex talk can get me to stop thinking about those fritters!!! LOL I've got it bad!!
  20. Lol I always wonder the same thing about the size playing into it!!! Haha
