When did surgery scars fade? If ever...
No game replied to roxannez's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think mine will be noticeable for life.... Oh well -
Ok this is from member maharet111 I always like her answer so I copy and paste it to these questions. Okay a little science here as told to me by my surgeon. Water has a high surface tension, meaning that its barrier to allow it to be broken down is hard. Think of a steel paper clip that floats on the surface. Now your stomach is like the size of a coffee stirrer at this point due to swelling etc. because of the high surface tension it is hard sometimes for the water to be absorbed and gets kind of backed up if that makes sense. So when you dilute water or mix it with something if breaks that high tension and thus can be absorbed faster. Not everyone experiences it but it is one of those side effects that can happen.

How are you able to drink all the liquid they recommend?
No game replied to MOBD's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You just need to keep working in it! It's kinda like a full time job... But an important one! try to up it a bit everyday. I've seen so many people end up back in the hospital just for dehydration! Some people fill a shot glass and drink it every ten minutes . But I don't know that sounds a little tedious to me. -
Well.. I just noticed you haven't had surgery yet? So I guess your talking pre op? Or perhaps post op? If its post op when you are in the full liquid stage you are probably going to have to rely on the protein shakes and cream/broth soups...

That's always a much discussed topic here... You are going to get people that will very strong in their opinions on only eating 800 or under until maintenance.... Then there are the ones that are eating closer to 1000 to 1200... And are losing You need to do what works for you and know that your doctor was trained in this area and knows the healthy way of doing things..

Shoot fiddle, I'm hungry now at 4 months can you imagine me at 9? Watch out But for you, I think you need to look at the AMOUNT of exercise you do! It's crazy! I mean you exercise so much I think I'm losing weight just reading about it! You probably need that extra fuel don't you think ? I know my husband does and he's super athletic he drinks one of my protein drinks just as a primer before a meal...
