Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
No game replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I don't think Fiddleman was berating you... I think he would just like to see you out it in a more open light about why you feel this surgery is not a good option for just slightly fat people looking for a quick no pain back to regular life in a jiffy thing to do. -

I don't disagree with you posting under this thread.. The question was asked and should be answered by all.. I guess I should of said I wish you would be more active on the low bmi pre surgery threads because of your unique experience and reasons for having surgery.. Like what lead you to weight loss surgery if you were just slightly overweight? Did you seek it out? Did someone sell it to you? -
Whats the hardest part for you?!

I'm glad you are doing this thinking. It's best to go into this surgery with eyes wide open. This is a life saving procedure for lot of us but it does not come without work. I am fighting my head issues with food daily still. A sad but honest truth...

You better not or I will swat you right off the "Losers bench" with my "batwings"

Surgery in itself will not make you happy... As a matter of fact surgery will not change your psychological issues with food. I hope that you have discussed these issues with your surgeon and it is also helpful to go to a support person to talk about these issues. Good luck to you, Laura And I should say I do know what you are talking about, it's a hard road giving up your comfort, your friend, your way if life.

Iggy, am I correct in assuming that you feel that this surgery is not worth it for those people that have low bmi's no other health issues and are doing it for preventative or "vanity" reasons? -
My standard answer.... The bougie sizes are used as a guide for the doctor when removing your stomach. As far as getting a "bigger" or "smaller" sleeve the difference between the ALL bougies sizes are really very small.. Your doctor will know what is right for you! Everyone's stomachs are different some are small, some are long so even two people using the same size bougie can have different capacities after.. And as far as "getting one as small as you can" If your stomach is made to small there is a greater chance of long term problems.

Just take care and you will be fine It takes time to heal and feel the restriction
-
You just had surgery your stomach is still numb and is swollen. so at this point you most likely will feel nothing. Please measure your intake and don't eat anything you are not supposed to because you do not have full sensation back to "know" if you are "full" or not

Example #2 "The Hospital with Quinones was small and clean. I did get papmered, my hubby came to be with me the 3 days and there was no extra change for him! I was treated like gold. Very nice and clean! I would go back to him again, an dI miss the staff, they took such good care of me. He does max 3 surgeries in one day, so the attention is put on the patient. It is in a hospital, but they have a private ambulance they pay to be on Stand By to take you to San Diego Trauma center (but it hasn't happened from what I heard) just a cauthionary measure. I give a 10+ Sleeved March 5 2013. I have a FB group ith over 350 members in it. If you have questions, need a Sleeve buddy, or just make friends just PM me your email address and I'll add you:)"
