    help!

My personal thoughts on the band is that's its foreign body being placed in you and has a very high failure rate (at which I was very surprised to find out) and the chances of needing a second surgery to "fix" or remove the band are very high.

    help!

I originally went in thinking i wanted the lap band.. I'm very happy that I changed my mind! I think if you go to the sub forum here for band to sleeve revisions, you will see many people that wished they had the sleeve FIRST over the band. Good luck to you

    Getting my hair did!

Oh girl I know that feeling having to sit in front of that mirror for an hour trying not to look at yourself!! So happy it's not a sad ordeal this time! I want pictures!!

    Just curious

"They" Might have different reasons depending on what stage you are in... Early stages, dangerous can get caught in the staple line. Later on, evil (but good) "slider" food, Meaning you can eat very large amounts with no restriction.
  5. You know I will be here rooting for you! And also know you have a whole community of people here to support you through the rough Patches as they come

Hubby's coming home in 2 months

Ha, I actually agree with recycle! That man loves you and misses you! Enjoy him, let him enjoy you, it's not going to matter what you wear, it's going to be about the honest love and acceptance of each other.

    Both ends....

My husband is a PA in the ER, but before that he worked as a tech at an endoscopy center.. I've never had one but he assisted on thousands of procedures so he's seen it all and I used to hear it all.

    Both ends....

It's actually good your having both at once! Lots of docs don't like doing them at the same time (Because they can bill more for separate procedures) Now you only have to prep for 1 procedure, And get sedated once

    Escape.....

  11. Oh to the op, it looks like you got some good suggestions.. The only thing I could add is when drinking the first time go slow.. It really made me flush and sweaty when I drank more than a few sips.. It's hard to explain but it made me feel like crap for a few minutes and scared me a bit.
  12. Hehe..James now your getting me kinda excited! At 5 months I take it a bit for granted sometimes but then I read things like this and it makes me realize just how blessed we all are to be able to have this second chance
  13. Lol I don't know if I'm the best to answer because I don't work, shhhh.... Don't tell anyone But at two weeks I was "feeling" a bit better I'd have to say it was about the 4 week mark that I felt more "normal" At two weeks I still would get tired easily so that could be an issue depending on your job. Another thing is digestion was still a little wonky I would be out shopping and several times had to find a restroom quickly So if you keep these things in mind along with having to go back its probably doable Oh and drinking is like a full time job in itself so you really have to be able to work that into your schedule at work.
  14. OMFG!!! That is awesome!! What a great surprise to get at the doctors office! Congratulations to you

    Guilt and what to do?

I'm sorry that you feel guilt over this.. I've been in that situation quite recently, and had thoughts afterwards about "should I have said something different" But you know what in the grand scheme of things this is not something you should lose sleep over! This woman was not harmed by your "Lie of omission" and she, because of her attitude did not sound like a very safe person to tell anyways Take care and don't sweat the small stuff Laura
  16. Yes us 40 bmi'ers fat fat but not super fat or just a little fat
  17. Yeah this one was the demise of Aussielady May she rest in peace...
  18. Oh and yes I would do this surgery again! It has giving me a fighting chance at a healthier life. It did not come without risks or sacrifices. But I willingly signed up for it, with those in mind.
  19. HA HA HA! The great VST urban myth fiddle!! I think what happens is like the other day someone wrote a thread about her "love affair" with food is over (she's a couple of weeks out) And a bunch of other people newly sleeved say the same thing. Pre ops read and BAM Someone on that thread did suggest it will come back... She was called a Debbie downer and bitter because she was a failure
