Well it's luck of the draw here as to who you get and what they will say.... I'm feeling generous tonight so... Why yes! Yes you can drink! I would say just make it a small wine or vodka/cranberry with lots of ice and sip just a little, Don't go overboard because it can hit you in a good way or cause tummy troubles

That's wierd!! I know sometimes a random picture will show up on something I posted and then someone will say hey that's my pic!! I always chalked it up to glitches.

Your life will change... But it's what you do with those changes that's most important. Seek support, don't close yourself off from friends because you can't "eat the same way" As you used to. Life for most people doesn't revolve around food. Socializing can still be fun. Give yourself love and time to heal. And you will be fine

Yes Chris R, Thank you for sharing your experience. It means a lot to be able to hear others stories. Laura

Snap you know we live close to one another? It is a tough place to live! downtown Los Gatos home to the beautiful people, and me... I truly wish you well and luck with your up coming surgery. And know it does get better. I still have hang ups but I'm working through them day by day. Somedays not so great! All this talk of shopping? last night I told my husband "I'm going shopping tomorrow" I couldn't bring myself to do it today, I fit in "regular" clothes now but still carry that fear! Laura-ven work in progress.

You should tell her about the pain that you feel sometimes in that dressing room? It was a very powerful story.

Girl did you not read the thread yesterday how a woman knew a woman that drank to much soda and popped her pouch!!!
  15. Sometimes a girl just has to do what a girl has to do! And on that note I do the premier pre made from Costco they are pretty good in my book! It's a part of the healing and nutrition phase of this surgery and in the grand scheme if things not a big deal

Melissa, We are all in this together I am still learning everyday to try to love and accept myself.
  19. Hmmmm.. It must get awfully tiring to have to fight everyday about the qualifications of your doctors and coordinators? Have you guys ever thought about why this happens everyday here? What is the psychology behind it? It's exhausting don't you think? Is it possible that the all (most of them anyway) Have good points and bad? And it's ok whoever you pick and shouldn't have to put so much time and energy in defending your decision. It makes me wonder if somewhere, in your mind you are not entirely comfortable with your choice and therefore need to compensate?
