I understand that, I have read and have hoped that people a year out "feel" better, but see this is something I have no experience with! So I don't really know, I have told myself this will al be worth it once I get to goal...
-
Thanks Molly that right there felt better than food
-
You are so newly sleeved, are you on real food yet?
-
Molly, You know I like you and your big smile! I'm glad you are here asking and asking everyone is important because we all have different experiences! Yes, Molly I'm very happy to have this opportunity, it's not perfect, it's not a miracle. But it really does help in giving me a good chance at being a healthy weight. Like every says here its a "tool" and its what you do with it that counts in the end. If this doesn't work... Next step lobotomy or medically induced coma.

Surgery is tomorrow

I understand your thinking on that. I guess I would say the difference between a traditional diet and this surgery is the fact that our stomachs only have so much capacity now. Whereas before when we ate only 800 calories we were still not satisfied, and felt deprived. Now it's a case of only being able to eat around 800 to 1000 calories a day. And because of that fact it also makes it very important to make MOST of those calories count with nutritious Food choices. I'm not trying to minimize your feelings on this. I will be the first to say this is hard. I feel hunger Still and food is still the daily focus. Nicole made a really good point too about upping your calories, perhaps that might help with the hunger and weight loss.

Hmmm.. maybe now we can afford that beachfront property we were looking at!
-
It can be.. Especially when you get a bit further out. There are ways to cheat or eat around the sleeve by eating sliders. We all, at some point learn what they are for us. So like most things you have to make a choice as to how you will handle those foods. For me sliders are chips, popcorn, and candy.

My Suggestion-Stop The Obsessing. Rules Are Meant To Be Broken

1. Pussification pussification(noun): the state in which a society becomes less and less tough. This noun's originator is the famous comedian George Carlin. "We are undergoing a pussification of our entire society." 2. Pussification The state of mind that a man undergoes when he has lost any control that he ever had in a relationship with a woman. The point in a relationship where a man becomes his mates personal b***h. Once pussification takes over the man will spend every waking minute thinking of ways to please his mate. "Hey Mike, wanna grab a beer after work?" "Thanks guys, but I can't, I have to hurry home to give the cat a bath so that I'll have time to watch Seventh Heaven with the princess" "Holy ****!! Mike!! You've got pussification. We need to get alcohol in you right away" 3. Pussification Taken from a George Carlin bit, referring to the reversal of roles and attitudes specifically of the American male due to being overly "politically correct." Using soft language and avoiding confrontation and critisizm has resulted in the complete pussification of the american youth, as manifested by "emo", and "cyberbullying" emo pussification wuss sissy *****-whipped 4. Pussification To become a *****, wus, coward, whimp etc. We are witnesses to the mass pussification of males as a result of the fload of female hormones in our water from the consumer use of the birth control pill. Draft Dogers? That's pussification straight up! -
A slider is a food that is usually high in fat and or sugar that when eaten does not give you that restrictive feeling.. Therefore making it possible to eat more than you should

Dancing vs walking

Lol.. Sorry the visual of some lady fresh out of surgery dancing in her room is funny Umm.. Good question though... I walked but in the beginning it was more like a slow zombie shuffle walk type of thing (another great visual) so dancing might be hard. I wore my gown and an extra large zip up sweater to hide my bits from hanging out. Oh and most people on my floor had the same surgery. -
