    The beloved "Food Funeral".

Devils advocate here.... All of us need to have help with this professionally because we all know what to do. Hell we are experts at it! But knowing and doing don't always come together that easily for us that are "food addicts" right? I don't think Aussie means it as an insult its just part of the hard road ahead. The one thing I know for sure? It's that this surgery is not a miracle
  2. FYI if you want to know about Dr. Aceves I would PM "Suzannesh " up there. She comes on every month or so and does nothing but tell about her doctor.... And is more than willing to answer questions...

    Closet Eater....and I'm coming out!

I think that's the weirdest part! I just ate dinner and I'm very full but my mouth wants more! I say mouth because although its head hunger my mouth is what wants to chew and taste 0_o I think about how good something is and my mouth actually waters!!
  4. I don't know what you've been eating but I would say keep it up that's awesome weight loss! Oh by the way I eat anywhere from 800 to 1000 calories a day at five months

    How much is too much?

If you just got your psych evaluation yesterday, it may take a few days for him or her to write up your report? Or do did they give you clearance right then and there?
  6. That's a hard one... If your not feeling sick when you eat, like needing to throw up its probably fine but if you do start to feel like things just aren't going down it would be worth a call to the doctor to make sure there's not a build up of scar tissue (Stricture)
  7. I am five months out and still do not eat red meat It's just to hard on my stomach still. Is it just steak or all foods?

    Liquid diet starts MONDAY

That's what I had to do too! Some lucky dogs get a little bit of food... I don't know how many shakes you get a day, but drink them all! And I always have a harder time at night so I saved one for then..

    Liquid diet starts MONDAY

Omg Nate! That went by quick! The only thing I can say is be prepared, the liquid diet is not easy.. I felt weak dizzy tired and just knew that I would LITERALLY die from starvation But that was just the first three days. It did get easier after that though. As for shakes I really like the premier ready made protein shakes you can buy them at Costco and SAMs club.

My wagon got a flat tire..

The Protein bars are the devil to me too ! If it sounds to good to be true it usually is! And the flaming threads? Trust me your not missing much! I think we are all just trying to get to the same place and we've all made the same mistakes. It doesn't really matter to me where you are in months, it's if you are willing to lay it all out and want to try and really "get it". we are all learning everyday. On that note another day another bumpy ride, But I know I need to keep traveling this road as best as I can so I can get to where I'm going. And carpooling (or wagonpooling) is so much nicer
  17. Well I know for a fact i am crazy! And yes I've been in therapy for years ( I used to be super crazy) They "passed" me... The best thing I can say is don't worry and be honest with yourself and them and all will work out.
  18. When I see people like that for the most part I feel sadness.. most of the time I see the sadness in their eyes and body language.. I was them, they are me..
  19. 5 months out and I still struggle! But at this point it doesn't hurt, it just goes by to quickly. If I eat to fast I don't even get the satisfaction of enjoying the meal before I'm done then I'm left with a "what the heck" feeling Best advice slow down and do better than I.
