What's going on with the updates? They are sporadic at best these days.. It seems to be hit or miss if someone replies to a thread I'm participating in to get an notification about it. This is happening to others not just me.

Umm... Sorry, I should clarify. You cannot really customize the percentage of stomach removed. The surgeon will determine on his own how much to take. That being said the surgeon does try and take all of the fundus because leaving some behind can result into the stomach eventually going back to the same size as pre op. Long story short? I was joking,

That's funny! Not! But I know what you mean I keep seeing the part In my hair looking bigger. But just today I was blow drying my hair and the sides looked so thin as the air hit it, all I could see is scalp! Not to mention when I blow dry hair flys all over the bathroom! Hell even my hair in the profile picture looks thinner!

Well if the doctors at Yale recommend these? You just need to buy some of them and find out which one you like. Everyone's taste is different. Trail and error. -
Well I'm back it went well,,, there were a few weird moments, but all and all it went ok. She said she felt a bit weird eating with me but it turned out more informative than anything else. She talked about body dysmorphia in the sense that she doesn't see an obese person when she looks at herself. she does understand why I did it though (kinda)... I had high blood pressure and was taking meds, whereas she does not have any of these type of issues. She in no way would ever do anything so drastic though. I have to respect that she knows what she wants in life and she's happy. Observations. I'm happy with my choice. I feel more free moving around in public, something she always felt by the way. We sat in a booth, after we sat the waiter asked if she wanted a table for comfort and she said no without batting an eyelash. I remember a couple of months before surgery going out to eat with my family and the booth was uncomfortable for me. The table was squished against my stomach. Today I felt room all around me. When I picked her up I had to help with the seatbelt because she couldn't do it by herself. Flash back for me.. I buckle much differently now when I get into my car. I can see what I'm doing now whereas before it was more a "feel" situation buckling in. I love her, she loves me and we both have different comfort levels. But I keep going back to my admiration for her, I want to work on having something that she has but still eludes me. Self esteem. Big or small I want to get to a place of self acceptance.

Hey guys, I get what you did but I must say a lot of people here are complaining about the same thing and I really don't have the ability or the want to explain this to everyone. But I've noticed that its having an effect on continuing the conversation on some threads. And it's sneaky in the sense that it only happens on some threads not all! So it's harder to tell that something's going on and needs to be addressed.

It freaked me out a bit when it first started happening to me, even though my surgeon discussed it with me before surgery. Heck I even had to sign a form stating that I understood that this would happen! But at 6 months (it started at 4 for me) it has definitely slowed down. I lost a lot! when I pull my hair back it feels so thin in my hands now But I will say I'm the only one who really notices the thinness. But my family is sick of seeing my hair EVERYWHERE! I told them if you are sick of my hair in the food I can always stop making dinner!
