  1. On that note I will ask the administrator here to step in and end this mess.
  2. I think at the end of the day? We are all flawed human beings as was made quite evident in this thread... We are all guilty but I also believe we are all trying to become better people, whatever that means in our own minds..

    ladies only please

I have not skipped any but had several months of very light ones or starting and stopping... But you have had a significant drop in weight fast so it might affect it more... It might be worth talking to the doctor about though.

    Can I do this...

To your question of "can I do this" I say yes you can. I just read what you wrote and I could of said most if it myself (and did) before surgery. I'm doing it, so can you.

    %stomach taken out?

When I see that variation, it makes me wonder too.. The best I can tell you, is a scary as it sounds it not an "exact" science. All surgeons will have different things they say and do. If I where to talk to my surgeon again, I would ask about the fundus and make sure that all of that was being taken out! If that 65% or 85% I don't know but it probably differs from patient to patient.

    I have something to say!

Hell I'm six months out and I'm still trying to figure out if I want to eat only protein and veggies Or take the attitude that this is not a diet and everything in moderation! I really need to pick a side so I can judge, I mean impart my wisdom on the subject! Good for you and your weight loss! You sound happy and and that's half the battle.
  9. I wonder what's worse..... Lying to others, or lying to oneself on a daily basis?
  10. It was a while ago... But I still have memories of my first weeks. And yes my digestion was not good! Sometimes I didn't even want to leave the house! It does get better.... I also noticed some of the sugar free products I was eating in the early stages had sugar alcohols that really messed with my stomach.

    Eatin more before your period

Oh yeah I still feel the same urges around my period! I get fixated on wanting chocolate, And chocolate does not bother my stomach at all unlike some sleevers It's a matter of having control still, which is easier said than done some days!

What is there for her not to feel comfortable with? Do you mean a scope at the ER? Why can't she refer you to a Gastroenterologist? If she thinks there is a problem what is there not to feel comfortable with, by just referring?

Can you have your PCP set up up with a doctor to do a scope? You need a doctor Like a Gastroenterologist.

I agree with this.. ^ I'm not surprised by what happened in the ER, they are there to deal with an emergency and stabilize you enough to follow through with your PCP or in this case surgeon. Please do call your surgeon he or she will know what to do!
