    Fresh Fruit Smoothies!

The one thing I will say in regards to the fruit, is that in the beginning most doctors will say stay away from fruits with seeds (blackberries, strawberries etc) because of the healing suture line in the stomach.

    This is so hard

But it's not for "no reason". Losing weight is never for "no reason" if it will make you more healthy.
  3. Girl you better take that frowny face off of there! You are going to do great, I don't care if you have 100 or a 1000 to lose, You are doing something about it and that in my book is awesome! Sometimes it hits me just how lucky we are to be able to have this surgery, no matter what our weight is. I see people everyday that need this surgery and for whatever reason can't do it... Be happy Neverbethesame

    This is so hard

For no reason? There is a reason! Your health! I know the first day (and the second) are hard.. And with the uncertainty on top of that, I'm sure it makes it a bit frustrating. Go into it with positive thoughts and know even if its put off a bit.. You are taking a step towards weight loss and health

    Something in my sleeve....

I had my husband look at it... When he was still in school he worked with a gastroenterologist and did lots of scopes. But I don't know... I do hope they figure it out Sannah and I'm sorry that you have yet one more setback Take care Sannah and give Venla hugs and kisses from that crazy lady Laura.

  14. Again.. I say this topic is a train wreck, it has colored everyone of us in a very bad light. I am human and for that I apologize, I try to stay out but I get passionate about people judging others here.... None of us are in a position to do that!
  15. And why is it that whenever someone makes a point you try and question their intelligence? Surely that doesn't work in the court of law does it?
  16. Again I won't say who this one belongs to also, But you know who you are ( or do you? ) I see so many threads about "I don't want anybody to know". Have tou ever stopped to think about the other side of the coin? When people are secretive about things if you enquire, don't you then assume the worst case scenario? In an office environment the rumors are always so much worse than what is really going on. My suggestion is to tell them what is going on. You don't have to go so far as to disclose everything. But give them enough to relax their curiosity or concern. For example. Do you have diabetes? Tell them you are undergoing a procedure that will hopefully cure your diabetes. Do you have sleep apnea, heart issues? Tell them you are getting a procedure that will cure ore minimize these conditions. All of these would be true, and once you've had the surgery, you can go back and tell the rest of the story if you so chose.
  17. Here's a little gem.. So you don't lie but you have you PA do it?? I will not say who this belongs to... But... I wasn't telling people but now find I am telling more and more. Turns out two people I work with have had the surgery. We now have a little club of our own, lol! Also, another came and told me she wanted the surgery and she was so relieved to have someone to talk to. These experiences have far outweighed the few negative responses I have received. My PA has known from the start and has had a hell of a time with people trying to get him to spill the beans but he knew I did not want to be the subject of gossip so I didn't publicize it widely. However if someone asks me to my face how I am losing the weight, I just tell them. No excuses. No embarrassment. Proud and happy. It is quite freeing!

I don't have to LIE anymore!

Ok break out the sad violins for this one!! One of the reasons why I bumped up my weight on the newest one, was not only because I had gained even MORE. It was because when I was at the DMV renewing my license the boy/man behind the counter looked at my pervious license and said.. Not kidding now he actually said. "Wow you used to be hot" I am not rendered speechless many times (as some as you know:p) But I was that day, at that moment. I took my new picture put a bigger weight on the form and went home and cried. My husband was pissed and wanted to go back and complain (bless him) but I said lets just let it go, the man behind the counter was a simple man and had a simple though and made a simple comment... Which by the way I would not of liked even if he thought I was still "hot" I don't want to be "hot" or not I want to be me and happy. But every time I see that picture on that drivers license? I see that day. ... sad violins playing slowly comes to an end...
