Good luck to you! Relax and breathe
-
This thread is about bougies. And as far as I can tell that's what we are all talking about.
-
I've just noticed that you seem to have a fear over it. Since being here you have had some great people here (like cowgirl Jane) that are band to sleeve revisions give you great insight about the bougie size not really being a factor in success or not. And all these months later you still seem to be frighten about this surgery somehow being a failure again. It won't be a failure or success because of the bougie. It is entirely in our hands, and with that I wish you luck on you Quest for a healthier life.

I just read all these responses... You guys got me crying first thing in the morning! it's so nice to see that you all care. I don't know if you guys know it but each one of you being here sharing, exchanging ideas and sometimes just listening has helped me just as much as the surgery did. I think we are all "person of the month" Ok now I've got to go stir the pot somewhere

I understand your fixation on bougie size, because you have a lap band and said its not working. I'm sure the thought if another failed surgery is frighting? But really this bougie thing is like an urban myth around here that keeps getting new life with answers like the one above.. People will lose weight with this surgery, but like the lap band it takes work. It is a surgery is a great way to help with the weight loss, but it is not a cure. I'm sure even NtvTxn would agree you have to work at it.

Usually if its 40 and above you will be fine! As kong as your insurance covers it. The added health problem is only for 35 up to 40

Just answered this in your other post that you asked the same question..... But I will paste it here too. My surgeon used what he thought was best for my stomach and would produce results while minimizing the risks of leaks and other complications like Gerd... What size exactly was it? I don't know but the difference between them is "tiny"

I wonder if you gain weight after getting your license, if you are supposed to inform them of the gain? I mean that would be the "honest" thing to do -
You must be reading the wrong threads! There are plenty here that are your starting weight and more. And have lost the weight quite nicely. Good luck tomorrow!

You can handle him looking at "hot chicks" But do you like it? I mean you have a unique relationship... But is that something that is acceptable? Listening to who he wants outside of the marriage?

What made YOU successful?
No game replied to BrokeMyHalo's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Oh and I can't say anything about success long term just yet. But at this point I count my successes daily. To me it's about not giving in to negative thoughts, disappointments or feelings of being discouraged due to perceived "failures" Example stalls, slow weight loss or a treat. This is a process and it takes some time and work. I stay committed to it daily basis and on the days I eat something I shouldn't? I know that tomorrow I can wake up and have a healthier day With food and continue on. -
Exercise, time and after a year if all else fails plastic surgery

Ok 6 months out here.. Did everything right (vitamins, protein, supplements) and guess what? It fell out my surgeon told me during pre op that it will happen even had to sign a form saying I understand this... Mine started at 4 months and was pretty scary for a while there! Clogged drains and was all over the bathroom. But in the last couple of weeks it's back to just a normal amount of daily shedding. I was prepared to use hair fibers if it got bad enough, but as bad as it seemed to me no one else sees what I'm talking about... So I guess what I'm saying is yes it happens but it's livable. Oh and on days like today when I'm out shopping and buying clothes I don't really care

Getting sleeved tomorrow
No game replied to Eleni95's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm six months, I know sleeping the night before is easier said than done. I actually managed to sleep a bit even though I was freaking out. The fist few days after the surgery were a little rough for me, but some people go through and feel great right away! I would have to say it took me about 4 weeks to feel "normal" but at six months? Life's great -

Breathe I know it sounds simple but deep cleansing breaths do wonders when your stressed or nervous... As hard as it seems try to get a good nights sleep, you will have a long day tomorrow. As far as surgery the most important thing after is to walk as much as you can in the hospital. Walking really helps relieve the pain from the "gasses" pumped into you from surgery. Good luck and remember, breathe Oh and welcome Helen
