No game replied to bamagirl57's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was on liquids for three weeks, clear then full. After that came purée like real purée not just "I chewed it until it was mushy", but in the food processor purée. I lived -

keep having feelings of regrets

Really taking Vitamins only takes a minute or two out if your day, it doesn't have to be a big deal. And the b12 sublingual? I was told to only take that once a week. -

How soon is TOO SOON for a little alcohol?

I don't know it I have three things... But I would say go into it with no preconceived notions and a totally open mind. Just like parenthood or life for that matter you can read every book out there and mentally prepare yourself up until the moment of change. But the fact of the matter it is just like having children. Your sleeve experience will be its own unique individual self.. So you will do best going with the flow and not trying to put it all in a nice box with a bow on top.

(Exercise) Being sleeved June 21st :)

HA! I was going to say you won't see to many people here that did it without exercise! Listen in the early stages you will drop weight, but at some point exercise will become necessary not only for weight loss but to help tone up too. Walking is something that most of us can do. If you don't want to do it in public buy a used treadmill off of Craigslist. -

It's just something you have to go through. It gets better in a couple of weeks but as they are healing you will feel poking and sometimes a burning sensation. -
Yes, I very much prefer cheeseburgers!!

Can't argue with a rainbow and unicorn!

Yes as a matter of fact I did! It was suggested to me in a pm that if I had a "nicer" picture that perhaps people would find me a kinder more relatable person? so here I am a nicer Laura-ven

Are you still angry today?? If so take some deep breaths..... And remember why you did this. I essentially did this to take away my "free will" For awhile because I cannot control my food intake and I cannot be trusted! And yes it worked! I too had times where I was pissed because I just wanted to stuff my face, and couldn't. But really that behavior is what got us to this point of morbid obesity! You are in the toughest part of this process right now. It will get easier in a few weeks. Oh and puréed food? I said no way in hell would I purée chicken! Well when I could finally do it? I did it with glee and loved it! Chicken/ gravy/ watery instant mashed potatoes. Or turkey chili Also meatloaf (or balls) gravy. Look weird but is warm filling and tastes the same.

Before surgery Liquid Diet question...
No game replied to devine.adon's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know my surgeon had me on optifast I think it's about the same thing. Looking at the ingredients now it doesn't seem optimal, but it worked and it what the doctor ordered. -
Help!First day on soft foods has been rough
No game replied to HeatherRad's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try cutting out the eggs for a little while, for some reason a lot of people have a hard time with them in the beginning.. I would get hot and clammy too if I ate to fast or ate something that didn't agree with me. Also try just one new thing at a time take a tiny bite and let it sit with you for a few minutes to see how it feels.. You can try fish, turkey meatballs, low sodium deli meat. -
It's so easy to get discouraged
No game replied to WillInAtlanta's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
We all can get discouraged from time to time, no matter what our weight.. But you and I took matters into our own hands and we are finally doing it. That's all that really matters.
