Question for all the "Oh my god, what have I done?" people...

I know ole luckysmomma hates to read anything by me. But I will say it again. I wish they had a sub forum here for people with regrets, so that when people are coming here to research they can have a place to see these regrets.. Like right now there is someone asking us to talk her out of it. BUT...she wants it and all she sees here is everyone in love with their sleeve. How can I really tell her there are people that are not, if there is nowhere to really find them? -
Anyone with 180 pounds doing the sleeve?

I am happy with my choice to have this surgery! But with that said? Please let's not gloss over just how incredibly difficult the sleeve life can be for some. If you read this forum you will find plenty of people that regret it. I don't relate to them because that's not me. But they are out there.

I didn't tell my mom a word until everything was done and I had a surgery date!! So she couldn't say much. As a matter of fact she felt so out of the loop she begged to at least be able to come down and drive me to the hospital.

Well I was going to say your first mistake you made is being very close to your mom! My mom is kept at a very long arms distance! That b***h is crazy! But really you know everything she is saying is out of worry. But you cannot let it stop you from doing the things you need to do for yourself. Talk to her tell her that this is a done deal and you need her support because it is a big deal. It's not a dumb thing but its a BIG thing and you don't want to do it alone. That being said? If she can't get on board you may have to not involve her until its done...

I don't think people really think about the reality that you need to also need to make a lifestyle change.. We are a nation of fast food instant gratification people. We go in get a quick surgery ( oh and then we are surprised it hurts) and come out and expect it to magically work! "What the f**k I only lost 30 pounds this month!" "This surgery is a scam" "I could of done this myself" We want it NOW! NOW! NOW! With little or no work! Welcome to the new human race... We are fat for the most part we ate crap... Now we want to still eat crap but in moderation 0_o -
I'm just going to have my jaw wired shut....

keep having feelings of regrets
No game replied to toy27's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You know even those of us that have "no regrets" have down days too. Not everyday is sunshine and rainbows as a sleever -
I'm sitting getting a pedicure! That's how I'm dealing with it today... I am stuck it goes up and down but always the same for a month now. But I feel better than I have in a long time. I went to my sons band concert last night, and even though I feel fat, so many people came up and said "your so skinny" (liars!) But they are right I am a lot smaller than I was so today I am trying to feel nothing but peace in myself...

When can we drink soda
No game replied to amielou26's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Soda is a personal choice, at the end of the day it doesn't even matter what your doctors say, there is not even a general consensus of it being bad or neutral. Therefor its your choice. I do not drink soda. It is not good for me. That is just me. I am not a role model -
Your cleared on Monday, right? In sure you going to be up and running in no time I have been on the treadmill every day since Friday so today I took a break I will be back up and running (or walking) tomorrow
-
Good job Amy! Every time I run I'm so uncoordinated I feel like I'm going to fall over! I'm scared the kids are going to come home to the sound of the treadmill going and me thrown through the wall
