Globetrotter, I've had moments of grumpiness on the fast days... I think because the eating schedule that I've been on since surgery turns out to look a lot like grazing all day. So putting a little bit of distance in between meals has been a little harder than I thought... I don't feel shaky... But I agree with butter, It might be a good idea to look at your sugar intake. I felt that way several years ago just like butter said I would feel like I would pass out and shaky if I didn't eat every couple of hours. I read a book about food addiction and decided to cut out all sugars real and fake.. I was surprised at the fact that sugar was even in things that you don't think about like most American breads. Ezekiel bread is good by the way I cut out just that one ingredient! And the shakes/ lightheaded feelings went away! That's the downside about a lot of my post surgery habits now fake sugars but as time passes I'm trying to cut those down too.

She's my mom! Like I said I gotta love her I didn't tell her about my surgery until the date was booked and she felt helpless so begged to please come down and drive me to the hospital. I finally said yes. Well the morning of the surgery I open the front door to that crazy b***h is standing there holding 2 gigantic trays of Cookies and a cookie hanging out of her mouth! No joke! Wish I had taken a pic! She's harmless and provides me with something to laugh about!

I didn't use medifast but I used Optifast (almost the same thing) My surgeon includes this in his program so it was my pre op diet. It worked well..

Some of the people here (much further out than me) and I have been discussing the 5:2 fasting method. It essentially eating your normal healthy amounts every week but 2 days out of the week tues and Thursday for us we eat 500 calories and make sure there is a fasting time of at least twelve hours before and after... So Monday I don't eat after 7pm Tuesday 2 to three small meals starting at 10 am and eat dinner no later than 7 pm keeping the day at 500 total making wise Protein choices and pushing the water! I'm not recommending it but its working out well so far -
Thank you And for the record I'm enjoying my wine!!! Leeann do you remember when we were young and had all the answers??

You are a band to sleeve patient right? I think just from being here and reading so much that revision patients sleeves work somewhat differently sometimes resulting in an easier time at eating and a somewhat slower loss. Is it because of the band or the typical lower BMI of band patients? I don't know... But don't panic or feel bad I'm sure the weight will come off. You may just have to work it a little harder. -
Thank you you are one of the nicest must understanding person. I have been wanting to tell you that for awhile

Butter I should take a page from your book! : p Well... I'm eating a piece of the most lovely homemade gourmet apple pie not sweet, tart and yummy! So how do you think I'm doing! Oh and I've had a nice glass of wine and a few bites of fresh artichoke garlic bread!! Oh boy I'm in trouble

Really? I just read this and my mouth is hanging open... I'm not sure what you are looking for as far as "advice" here but your husband spying on you, In my eyes is the least of your problems, in my book. Putting aside all of the dysfunction in this relationship. I'm just a little... Ok a lot freaked out that you say you caught him MAKING DRUGS and you continue to stay there with your 15 month old child??? I don't give a f**k if he "worships you like a goddess" you need to get your child away from a dangerous potentially deadly situation.

I should! That woman is so wack-a-doodle! (Gotta love her) My husband just gave me the nicest card, where he waxed poetic about his love for me ( his words brought tears to my eyes) We are going to Santa Cruz to shop, eat (sashimi yum real food) and be one with the ocean

I like his honesty! I really do, some doctors have a god complex and would never admit to being human. He is at the end of the day, just like us, learning and growing everyday. I'm happy that you are getting it straightened out, Good luck to you

Never mind.....

I understand this I still wake up thinking of food and go to bed thinking of food. The evenings have AND still are the worse! Last night I went to bed with feelings of anticipation for the morning so I can eat. I think of food even when I am full
