Just curious...questions for those who have been doing the5:2way
No game replied to lovin life's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I tried to contact you via pm. But perhaps you didn't see it? Welcome, to the 5:2 group. We consist of members that are at least a year out and almost at goal or have reached goal and put on a few pounds while in maintenance. we are not trying to exclude anyone, but this method is not for the newly sleeved. Please talk to your nutritionist and try the diet first to see if its something you can do. Then if you want to make a commitment to it, send us a message and you'll be invited in. It sounds like your new direction is working out well for you. If you decide to try 5:2 at a later date let us know and you can join again. -

Ok I just finished dinner at 7pm and will fast tomorrow. You know I track everything on fast days but I've been a little lax on regular days. So I'm going to track them again to. To make sure I'm not getting to much of a good thing!! Glad you found a way on with your phone swizzly.

This is from the web site In reality a fast day is 36 hours. If you finish your last full evening meal at 7.30pm on Sunday, then Monday is your fast day, you are not going to be eating normally till Tuesday morning 7.30am. That is 36 hours. If you decide instead to fast from 2pm on Monday until 2pm on Tuesday, then that will only be 24 hours. Wait till 7pm and that is 29 hours. To do 36 hours you would have to hold off till 2am on Wednesday, which would be a little inconvenient
-
Now I'm confused! I'm fasting tomorrow I just finished eating at 7:00pm. Thursday I will wake up and drink black coffee then fluids until 11:00 am or so then I will eat my first meal after that midday I will have a snack and finally dinner to be done by 7:00pm Then nothing until the next day.., At least 12 hours before first meal on fast day eat your 500 calories within 7 to 8 hours of starting, then having at least 12 hour of resting before eating the next day.

My boyfriend thinks i haven't tried hard enough
No game replied to nsweety123's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I think the operative word here is "boyfriend" Really, he's not you and he's not having this surgery you are... That said It's not uncommon for partners, when the surgery becomes a reality to them, to say some dumb things. I think it comes from worry and fear of all the unknowns with a changing partner. Do what you need to do for you, but also tell him what you will need from him. And assure him this will not change you as a person (not much anyway ) -
No enjoyment of food?
No game replied to Autumnlover's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think most of us go through this. For me it was around the same time. Food became a chore and really wasn't as good as it sounded. It goes away in do time. You will enjoy and want to eat again, but if course it will still be in smaller amounts. -
