Most definitely everyone is different, or I should say their stomachs are different. Example a taller mans stomach will be larger than that of a petite woman's stomach after surgery. Even if the same surgeon preformed the surgery using the same size "bougie". In the beginning you really want to measure out your portions (did your surgeon give you amounts?) the full signal is not really reliable until its to late sometimes because your stomach is swollen and numb..

I think that a good rule of thumb in the very early stages is to to measure out 1/4 cup at meal time The difference between 1/4 and 1/3 is enough to have painful consequences.

Too "small" for surgery?
No game replied to bettyboo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
An interesting observation.. All of the friends and relatives that told me I was to "small" for surgery? When they see me now the are the first ones to say how much better and "healthier" I look now -

Coops I do notice the day after fasting I'm not that hungry. It's nice! Mg2 great stilts, sure she loved them Daisy, good news about the scale! And a picnic sounds so nice... I'm jealous. I'm very hungry today. I think it's because I was up way to late last night and ate Cookies. No bueno

You are so new out from surgery! even though your doctor released you to purée you may not be ready.. And that's ok! Greek yogurt is really packed with Protein and might be easier on your stomach, also refried Beans. A lot of people can eat cream of wheat.

Oh fiddle when you have it figured out let me know!! I quit all sugars real and artificial in all foods 1 year before surgery... Well you know what happens in this surgery everything has fake sugar in it, so I feel like I am back at square one. I say that because I am drinking flavored water drops everyday and I just can't bring myself to drink plain water.
-
I'm trying to understand what you are asking? So you skipped the purée and mushy stage? And your supposed to start mushy now? But you don't know what to eat? Or am I reading this wrong?

There was one lady here last year that did... She said it was ok, her doctor didn't tell her not too. She said she did it and was fine. I don't know what happened to her though she had some kind of complication and hasn't been back. -
Hi I sent you a message about the 5:2 group including links to the plan if you would like to try it
-
I should of clarified my TDEE including a little exercise is 1832. for reckless weight loss it's 1300 I really think its got more to do with the resting periods myself and mixing up the calories no matter what they are..
-
Sorry girlie It's kinda the luck of the draw around here as to who you get to answer.... I think all the enablers are at Micky D's or something! But really it's always best to talk to your Dr. than some random person here. Take care and remember that your stomach is swollen and numb this soon out and you really need to be careful.
-
Well I think this is the one area that all of us are kind of winging it... Have you tried going up to TDEE at all? Before I started 5:2 I slowly went up closer to mine, which is 1575 ( I don't count exercise) Which I'm not eating always unless its a crap day..
-
Dude you already ate wontons?? Well at least when you go you go big... I would call the dr. And talk to him or her about it. It's really not our place to clear you. But I'm sure someone will When you do start mushy type food stick to what the doctor tells you and measure because your stomach is still numb and you might not feel much.

In the beginning I made things for them I really didn't care for, like pasta. Sometimes I used to eat first so wasn't tempted to try anything. But at some point you just have to do what you have to do. As you get further out its not so bad. I am able to eat the meat and veg part of most of our meals. -
