I like the idea of giving the card to your parents.. You can wait until your sister opens all of hers then say something to the effect of having one more card but to your parents because they deserve recognition for being great parents???

For those on the other side - am I gonna need help after?

Ok I don't live alone... But I LOVED being in the hospital alone! Because I don't live alone I really didn't even have my kids and husband but once while I was in there because I was really busy with pain, walking and healing. I told my husband to not take any time off of work when I came home, and I'm glad I did, as long as you stock up before with all the things you need you really should be fine... Now I have read that some people here needed help with very basic things like getting up or even pulling pants down and wiping after going to the bathroom! I think that might be an extreme case though.. So if your independent minded I say you will be fine. -

Girl I told you not to order those! Is it me? Because its been to long since I've had a "real" cookie, or are they really good? Op sorry about the thread hijack! -
You know fiddle, I just bought some two weeks ago because BTB, swears by them, they are tasty. Not to much in my Greek yogurt, but with a bit of milk. It was nice to eat cereal! They haven't caused any bloating or gas problems. But they haven't helped with regularity either (if you know what I mean) truth be told I've only had them about twice each week though.

Yeah! they taste like slim Jim's (meat sticks) There is a deal at Bariatric Choice (the free shipping is done though unless you order $49) For 10 dollars for 30 dollars worth of stuff. Don't buy the Protein Cookies though!! They are too good http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/87584-bariatric-choice-sign-up-and-free-20-credit-plus-free-shipping/page__fromsearch__1 -

That's funny I just answered the door to the Fed-ex man and got all of my protein goodies including 4 boxes of those!! -
You too? Wow how we hid ourselves is truly amazing (and hard seeing how big we were:p) Sad really... I'm glad you went' date=' now make her take the pictures down! Oh my! That's why I ran from all pictures! My husband would of had no problem whipping them out to show people. Of course the down side is family photos from the last 6 years without me...

Oh and as far as the volume? Yes, it makes sense. You will always be able to eat more of a nutritionally void food (junk) than the preferred sleeve diet of Protein.... Sad but true reality, because I know skinless boneless chicken breasts did not get me here. -

Well to be quite honest, yes we can eat anything we put our mind to. I think where the problem lies is why eat that? It might not have harmed you but it's not very good for you at this point either... -
Controversial - The evaluation of before and after. Healthier by definition, but does everyone who is VSG'd really 'look' better?

Oh and for kicks for anyone reading this, oopsie bread can work. http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/68395-oopsie-bread/page__fromsearch__1 I don't really eat bread anymore, now I eat kims magic pops. Yummy, crunchy, and holds my tuna, hummus or sliced meats very well http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B007YURQVU/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?qid=1375568360&sr=8-4π=AC_SX110_SY190

He was (is) great. I know when I was wheeled into the OR it hit me what I was doing! I suddenly felt panic taking over, I looked around in horror at what i was about to do! We locked eyes, and he saw the panic. While everyone else was scurrying about, he just stood there and rubbed my shoulder telling me it was going to be ok until I drifted off... Small thing I know but it meant the world to me Yeah he's good and it was (is) a good experience. Hehehe... Sorry fiddle for the hijack! Vale pass fun to go DOWN

Please HELP!

Yes he can have bile reflux.... I wonder if they have done a barium swallow? I think if there is bile coming up it would mean the lower sphincter is not closing properly?? Bowel obstruction? Slow draining stomach (Gastroparesis)?? I don't know I'm just thinking out loud here but I would ask about these things.. Did you read the link I put above? Oh and have the done a Esophageal motility test?
