Georgia, I dry fry my tofu first to get the moisture out and crisp it up a bit then you can marinade . To dry fry, I cut up my tofu and SLOW fry it with no oil or butter on a non stick griddle or you can use a cast Iron pan. I fry it on a lower heat to get the moisture out and crisp it up. I buy mine at trader joes (extra firm) Also after you dry fry it you can do different things with it...like marinade in anything (it is tasteless so will soak up any flavor) and stir fry with veggies I like it marinaded sometimes but I will also eat it just straight from the fridge cold with hummus. .Simple, All-purpose Tofu Marinade: 1/2 cup Braggs liquid Aminos (for a salty, smoky flavor) Splash of rice vinegar 1/2 large sweet onion, diced 5 cloves garlic, crushed Water to cover Marinade a few minutes then cook with your veggies

Georgia I suck at cooking! But I do make tofu I'll post in the recipe sharing section here how I dry fry it. -
For most of us and I'm talking about those of us that are further out.. say past the sixth month mark. Eating ice cream and cake, any kind of junk really becomes easy to do. There are ways to eat around the sleeve so it's important to get a handle on the emotional aspect too.

Wow that's great FYE! I don't think I will have any weight loss this week. But that's ok. We are going to the beach today. I have to admit going to the beach for us means MANY treats and wine. So it should be interesting...

Hi Jane, Happy to have you on board. I find it such a help to have the support of all the 5:2 girls here. My suggestion? Post! Post a lot like I do. It really helps me to get through my days (fast or feed) knowing I'm not alone

There is a sub forum here with stories of people that have 200+ pounds to lose. I don't know if that's helpful? Good luck to you http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/forum/39-200-pounds/ -
Second Stage Surgery of Duodenal Switch Necessary for Some Sleevers
No game replied to RickyDee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That is a hard decision, yes. I know that for most of us the six or seventh month mark things change. I have been a slow loser since having the sleeve. But now? I fight tooth and nail to lose a few pounds a month. The most important thing to me? Don't give up, and as much as I hate to say it....don't get to comfortable. This will be a life long battle, struggle, change, Path, Journey, whatever you want to call it. At the end of the day? I truly believe it is in our hands as to whether we successfully lose the weight and keep it off. no matter what surgery or surgeries we chose. -

Nice Find! And I agree I think the fluctuation of calories everyday is going to not tank our metabolism as much.. -

Hey I like the way your looking at it! It would be nice if we could let our guard down for a minute though, like a "normal" person.
