Im genuinely struggling, and im surprised I havent gotten a leak yet.
No game replied to robocop12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey robo, Long time no see. Ok as the other posters said you need to eat your proteins, that is how you will feel your restriction. The crap food just won't do it, you will always be able to eat more of that. Along with having this surgery you need to make changes. I know it's hard, I'm a bringer too, remember. But you are the one in control here. When you want to eat, eat meat first. Roasted chicken, a turkey patty with cheese, low sodium deli meats.. -
Do you think one slice...
No game replied to ginger429's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well there are so many ways you can slice it (Pun intended ) some will say why would you do "that it's not good for you!" And others will say "a whole slice? OMG how did you eat so much" To that I will say its all relative really... I mean do you eat Protein first most times? If so then you are fine it wasn't to much.. And was this a treat? Special occasion? If so, no it's not to much as long as it doesn't open the door to binging. And as far as the size of said pizza? As we all know there can be big slices or smaller slices. And all of our stomachs are different sizes too! So was it to much? Did it put you in pain? Overly full? If not then I'd say it wasn't to much. At four months out I could eat a small slice of pizza too I'm sure -

To much of what?? Volume? Fat? Calories? Carbs?? -
Ok yes then they are testing for Gastroparesis It's funny I've not heard of anyone testing before.. I wonder if the doc saw something when scoping that made him think you might have it? I've read here that some people have had problems and found out after surgery they have it. But on the flip side I've also read that some think getting the sleeve can help people with it...

I told my kids to make like baby bear cubs and go forage Of course they are a bit older.. When I did start cooking again I tried to make things I didn't like! Like pasta or spareribs (to much messy work to eat so little food)

Losing Weight But Still Feeling Lost
No game replied to Lunaya's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm glad you made the call. Whenever your feeling a binge day coming on just come here and talk about it! Trust me it helps, I find so much support when I'm feeling down and the voices here give me strength. Oh and the exercise? You know I'm a lazy slob! Really it's just one of those things that I have to force myself to do. Just start out making the commitment. It doesn't have to be long, my therapist told me. going outside and walking around the block is good enough. just make a commitment to do it everyday. -

EPIC FAIL ON THE PRE-OP DIET!
No game replied to READY4CHANGE2013's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Ouch frank! Dude what's wrong did someone steal your jelly filled? I'm all for "straight" talk but crossing the line to direct insults is quite another. Dude you are crossing the line.... By the way people, stick to the pre op, its not just a "diet" that you can "cheat" on. It's serious business... For a serious surgery! Oh good read here... http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/78443-the-pre-op-diet-is-not-a-punishment-its-an-opportunity/ -

Done for today, came in a 472. The morning was a challenge after the high life I was living all weekend! but I made it. Weight seems to be holding steady this weekend even after the indulgent behavior... Yay! Georgia on the 100 mile challenge!

Lower joint weakness/pain since surgery?
No game replied to goirish78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mine was my left hip...and it happened about six weeks it got so had I had X-rays and everything! I just knew my hip was falling out of the socket Nope all looked good. After doing some research here I noticed it happened to a lot of people in about the same time frame! I read and think its because of the weight we've lost and our body posture is changing so things are shifting and we get sore spots? Well something like that anyway Mine lasted about a month then just like that it was gone! -
Never mind I got my answer...
